The Cato Institute ran a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal yesterday directed at President Obama.
Starting with
“We will go through our federal budget–page by page, line by line–eliminating those programs we don’t need,” which President Obama said after being elected in 2008, the ad goes on to say
“With all due respect Mr. President, we’re still waiting.”
Since Obama hasn’t done what he said he would, the Cato Institute went through the budget and come up with recommendations on where it can be cut.
A photo of the ad is here ,
and a free downloadable copy of Downsizing the Federal Government, a department-by-department guide to cutting the federal government’s budget from the Cato Institute is available here.
Some day, this White House might realize that what you DO is more important than what you SAY.
