Kathy Boockvar Running on…Inexperience

Democrat Kathy Boockvar, a Doylestown attorney, is challenging PA 8^th District’s Republican Mike Fitzpatrick for his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Boockvar ran for election and lost twice before, once for Commonwealth Court Judge and another for Bucks County Register of Wills. This is her third attempt at winning a public office.

Boockvar lacks political experience and although that is not normally a political show-stopper, it is particularly poignant this election cycle. Obama proved to all, or at least to those paying attention, that experience actually does count. Our economy, foreign relations, and social structure are suffering badly because of his inexperience and lack of responsible leadership. Voters should be hesitant to elect any political novice at any level at this time.

Adding to the bad timing of Kathy’s challenge is the absence of fresh ideas or a new direction that could at least spark interest from voters. Railing against the rich and corporations, blaming Bush tax cuts, and bringing our troops home are stale, Democrat talking points. So, too, is her bumper-sticker, fear-inducing accusation that Fitzpatrick wants to “kill” Social Security. Desiring a change to the tax code is pretty much an across-the-board issue with all candidates and accusing Fitzpatrick of partisanship sounds like the pot calling the kettle black

Boockvar will appeal to far-left voters because she certainly leans that way, but far-left tactics won’t convince others. On her website, she lamely tries to pair Fitzpatrick with Tod Akins, hoping printing their names together will stain Fitzpatrick with Akins’ infamous blunder. That and accusing Fitzpatrick of trying to “roll back women’s rights”, however, are typical far-left, over-the-top tactics showing her true colors – and they are bland.

One can find fault with Fitzpatrick as with any politician, but inexperience or extremism certainly do not apply. Boockvar offers nothing to make one believe a change is necessary. It seems that as far as elections go, it may be “three strikes and you’re out” for Boockvar.

Pennsylvania Turning Purple

The political leaves of Pennsylvania are turning color this Fall just like the leaves on the trees. No longer can PA be broad-brushed as a blue state on political maps. There are too many red-colored winning candidates to consider PA a predictable blue state. There surely are still many blue spots, but red is clearly shining through in areas, turning PA purple.

Six blue seats turned red overnight, cutting in half the Democrat strength in the state’s delegation. Although still in the minority, Republicans made a giant leap in overcoming the Democrat stronghold in the state. It will now make it that much harder for the slim majority to steamroll legislation.

Hats off to Tom Corbett and Pat Toomey for victories that will surely anger many Democrats, making them see red. One can hope that the 2012 elections will turn the purple totally red and give this state a chance to get back to the values that progressives seem determined to trash. The political culture war is not over, but an important battle has been won.

Big Win for the Thomas Jefferson Club

The Thomas Jefferson Club (TJC) started with a couple of people sitting around a table discussing the state of the country and, more specifically, the state of Bucks County. The decision to try to do something about the political situation may have seemed at the time to be nothing more than tilting at windmills, but the tenacity of those few individuals proved to be invaluable.

One of the first goals of the TJC was to inform people about the local political scene and to get people involved in stopping the tide of the Obama agenda. Patrick Murphy, voting in lock-step with that agenda, was an obvious problem and the TJC put him at the top of their list for attention.

Last night, that attention paid off with Mike Fitzpatrick’s knockout win of Murphy. Although Fitzpatrick was not considered the ideal candidate by the TJC, one of the main goals was to unseat the sycophantic Murphy, and they never lost sight of that goal. Working closely with the local Tea Party Movement, they provided the necessary awareness and information to Bucks County residents that convinced them to remove Murphy. In the end, it was a landslide victory.

Kudos are due to the TJC’s president, Jeff McGeary, for providing the leadership, vision, and tenacity that inspired others to get involved. It is often said that one man can make a difference, and McGeary proved it to be true. His energy and convictions provided the impetus for many to decide to get involved.

The TJC will probably not get the recognition it deserves, but it was surely a huge factor in unseating Patrick Murphy. Mike Fitzpatrick gets that seat, but the TJC was the real winner. It proved its worth and it will continue its efforts to safeguard the American ideals that are at its core. No politician or political party gets a free pass from the TJC. They have to earn it.

BRISTOL TWP. — On the eve of Election Day, police here detained a van carrying New York state plates and crammed with 13 volunteers bent on doing some unheard-of electioneering for Congressman Patrick Murphy.

“,,,what they were doing was, they weren’t stealing any signs, they were taking their Patrick Murphy signs and placing them directly in front of Mike Fitzpatrick signs,” Burns said, “so that you couldn’t read the Mike Fitzpatrick signs.”

On Voter Fraud

From Tea Party Nation:

Tomorrow is the day.  It is the day we have looked forward to from the days of the first Tea Parties in February 2009.  It is Election Day.  Tomorrow, the American people are going to repudiate socialism in no uncertain terms.

As you know, we have been warning for weeks about voter fraud.  Tomorrow is the last day for the liberals to try and steal the election.

Be on the look out for voter fraud.

Someone sent in an email and asked, “What is voter fraud?”

There are hundreds of things that could be voter fraud.  Campaigning within the election place, party people “helping” people vote. Election officials telling people how to vote.  Rigged voting machines and the ever popular, non-citizens voting.  Keep your eyes open.   If something doesn’t look right, it probably isn’t.

If you see something you think is voter fraud, let people know.

The GOP has an election fraud hotline.  That number is 1-888-775-8117.

Fox news has an email address where you can report vote fraud.  It is voterfraud@foxnews.com.

If you see something, use your cellphone camera to video it or photograph it.  Do so, if you can without getting arrested or beaten up!  Get the word out as quickly as you can.  The sooner we get the word out, the sooner we can take action against those who would try to steal the election.

Keep your eyes open tomorrow and tomorrow night; we can celebrate the vanquishing of the liberal majority in congress!

Desperate and baseless attacks are backfiring on Dems across the state

Vice President Joe Biden visited Delaware County this week, stumping for Democratic congressional candidate Bryan Lentz. In his remarks, Biden blamed the Bush Administration for the nations’ economic woes, further chastising the GOP for not “getting it.”

As far as not getting it, it remained unclear as to which Bush Administration Biden was referring. But why stop at Bush I? Why not blame Nixon and Cal Coolidge, too?

The Veep, in an attempt to rally his troops, emphatically stated that those reports (READ: every single poll) predicting the death of the Democratic Party are “greatly exaggerated,” and that his Party would “continue” digging America out of its hole.

“Continue”… ? Wait … when did they start?

There were two unmistakable messages that emerged from Biden’s speech:

1) He can reference Mark Twain, and

2) His Party is completely bereft of ideas, without the slightest clue as to how to right the ship.

Neither one is very helpful come Election Day.

Point Two is not a new revelation, however, as most Democratic incumbents have known this for quite some time. Since they know it’s childish and ineffective to blame prior administrations for today’s recession, especially in light of mammoth spending and crushing new taxes instituted under total Democratic control, these seasoned pols inherently understand that they can’t run on their records.

Corbett/Onorato Q & A

The Philadelphia Inquirer had an interesting Q&A with the Democratic and Republican Candidates for PA Governor.

It’s interesting that Corbett consistently short, succinct answers,and Onorato had to qualify or talk around almost every answer. (I particularly enjoyed that Onorato thinks that the best thing Governor Rendell has done is “make significant progress on early childhood education in the last eight years.”

Did you even know that Rendell had done anything about early childhood education?

First off, if you are reading this early enough Friday morning, I need you to head to the Bucks County Courthouse at 9AM to protest the Chicago-style absentee ballot fraud by Murphy & Co. right here in our own back yard!  The SEIU and other assorted thugs will be present; we need to also be there in force!

President Obama, while speaking to Democrats in Rhode Island, informed his audience that Republicans have driven the economy into the ground.  Interesting…I believe his party has been the majority party for almost the last two years!  But I digress.  The President then professed he has a plan and Republicans are welcome to, “come for the ride, but [we] gotta sit in back.”

My assessment:  Barack Obama knew EXACTLY what he meant by his “gotta sit in back” remark.  He knew EXACTLY what telling people to move to the back of the bus means in America.  Had any Republican President – or frankly any white President regardless of party – made the same remark, the cries of “racism” would dominate the national media at this very moment.

So now the President wants to bring his divisive rhetoric to North Philadelphia.  And we will meet him.

On Saturday, October 30th at 10am, President Obama is bringing his leftist thugs and racially-charged rhetoric to Temple University in Philadelphia.  The Americans For

Prosperity’s “November is Coming” bus will be rolling right up behind the President and will be joined on their tour by the Thomas Jefferson Club, the Conservative Leadership Coalition and other Tea Party and patriot organizations from across the greater Philadelphia area.

Residents Cry Foul Over Ballots – TJC Protest Saturday

We included this article from the Doylestown Intelligencer in the list of articles about voter fraud posted earlier this morning, but this local one deserves its own post (plus, TJC is having a protest concerning voter fraud–see below)

A trio of Bucks County residents backed by the county Republican committee say they have evidence linking Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy’s campaign to a scheme to flood the county voter registration office with fraudulent applications for absentee ballots.

In a petition filed Tuesday, county Republicans say the name of Murphy’s campaign manager appeared on a Bristol post office box where voters were urged in a series of letters paid for by the state Democratic Committee to send absentee ballot applications.

The county Republicans submitted with the petition a photograph of a note inside the mailbox that said, “Tim Percico and Paul Hampel only pick up mail.” Tim Persico is Murphy’s campaign manager, although his name is misspelled in the note. Hampel is a volunteer for the Democratic state committee who said he collects mail from the box.
