July 22, 2011

Here’s Jesse suggesting that “the death of the Swedish people should not be seen as something negative.”

The question is, why is anyone standing there listening to what he has to say?

Changing Face of America’s Youth

July 18, 2011

From CNN:

The United States is walking a path to greater diversity. And younger people are leading the way.

For the first time in national history, the majority of young people in two states — California and New Mexico — now identify as Hispanic, according to census data released this year.

In eight additional states — Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Maryland and Hawaii — white children are in the minority compared with peers from other racial and ethnic groups combined, according to data analyzed by William Frey at the Brookings Institution.

“Europe is Dying,” US Population Expert Tells Senate Hearing

June 27, 2011

From LifeSiteNews.com:

Given the precipitous decline in the birthrates of European countries, all anti-natal programs funded by the United States should immediately be replaced by pro-natal programs, one top population expert recently told the U.S. Senate.

“It doesn’t matter whether we call them reproductive health programs, family planning programs, or population control programs,” said Stephen Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute (PRI). “They all have the same effect: they force down the birth rate in countries that are already dying. Such programs are only making a bad problem worse.”

The hearing before the Senate Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe focused on the implications for the security, as well as the economic and social developments in Europe, due to demographic decline marked by diminishing and rapidly aging populations, in most of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) 56 participating states.

“Tequila Party” Aims to Increase Latino Voting Bloc

June 15, 2011

From CNN:

By now, people in the United States and elsewhere in the world are familiar with the Tea Party, but there’s a new social movement on the political block — it’s called the “Tequila Party,” and its leaders say the group is serving as a wake-up call to the Latino voting bloc.
Tequila Party organizers describe their movement as a nonpartisan group that launched this year on May 5 — Cinco de Mayo, to mark the Mexican holiday. It has enlisted both Democrats and Republicans to get the more than 20 million eligible Latino voters to become “consistent primary and general election voters,” the movement’s website says.

Census Reveals Plummeting US Birthrates

June 8, 2011

From USA Today:

— In 1960, the year Helen Cini gave birth to one of her five children, 15 other kids were born on her block here in this quintessential postwar American suburb.

The local obstetrician was so busy he often slept in his car.

Kathy Bachman felt like an oddity when her family moved to Cherry Lane in the Crabtree section of Levittown when she was 5. She was an only child, and “everybody had five or six kids in every house.”

Fast-forward to 2011.

Importing Disaster: Demographic Changes Mean Democrat Future

May 13, 2011

From American Thinker:

t a gathering some years ago, I had a political conversation with a man who had recently arrived here from Denmark.  He was advocating his home country’s socialist system, which, of course, led to profound disagreement.  He was good natured and cordial, however, so the debate ended on a polite note.  Yet it also ended on an ironic one: When asked if he wanted to return home, his answer was no.

This is a common phenomenon.  We see it, for instance, in liberal northerners who move to the South for the lower taxes and cost of living and greater freedom, but then continue to vote for the kind of politicians who made the Northeast a nice place to leave.  And while this befuddles many, it’s simply man’s nature.  Of course people want that which is good, such as a better lifestyle, but wanting and attaining are two different things.  Everyone wants good health, for example, but many nevertheless are too attached to unhealthful foods and practices to relinquish them.  Oh, they might move into your healthy body if they could, but they would likely do to it what a government-subsidized project does to a good neighborhood.

From Fred Thompson, via Twitter:

“Feminists are angry Obama replaced Christina Romer, the female economic advisor, with a male.

Obama should have replaced her with a competent advisor for more diversity.”
