Obama the Valet – Part II

December 18, 2014

Sometimes it’s a mundane story that best reveals character, or lack of. So it is with the current story of Barrack and Michelle Obama’s experiences that they perceive depict racism in America. It is, as they say, a story with legs and it is still walking – and revealing.

First of all, if the experiences related by the First Couple are their most memorable brushes with racism, they should be shouting from the rooftops about the success this country has had in combating racism. After all, their related experiences have been shared in some manner by a lot of people of all races and creeds and are far more amusing than demeaning and hardly scratch the surface of racism.

Second of all, their far-from-racist stories show how removed they are and have been from the typical black experience in this country. Almost every member of the black community has, unfortunately, come up against real and hateful racism at some time and the Obamas’ stories demean those experiences and insult those who have experienced true racism.

Thirdly, Michelle’s related Target story turns out to be a re-run and re-spun story. The first telling was on The David Letterman Show in 2012 and it was related as a funny, feel-good story explaining how her fear of having her cover blown while shopping in Target did not materialize. The latest telling darkly spins it to fit the racist America narrative that her husband is actively pushing from the bully pulpit.

Everything coming from the Obamas is agenda driven, contrived, and deceiving. An interview for People Magazine intended to be a personal, inside look ends up stirring more hatred and racial tensions so that…well…it’s just not clear why Obama is deliberately stirring the racism pot. Then, again, a lot of things he does do not make sense.

If you look close, this story gives a much better inside look at the Obamas than People Magazine intended – and it’s not a pretty sight.

Obama the Valet

December 18, 2014

In a People interview, president Obama once again encouraged an America-is-racist theme by offering examples of treatment he, and Michelle, endured in America that he felt were racist. One such example he offered was that he was mistaken as a valet and handed car keys when standing outside a restaurant.

Obama admitted that being mistaken as a valet was just a small irritation, but using it as an example of racism shows he is also being mistaken as a leader. Suggesting that common profiling is racist does not display the leadership one expects from a president who claimed he would unify the country and move it out of ideological gridlock. He has accomplished the exact opposite.

Profiling is not inherently bad and it is certainly not always racist. Jesse Jackson was not displaying racism when he once said: “There is nothing more painful to me … than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.” It was painful for Jesse, but it is reality, not racism, and it was simple profiling. Everybody uses profiling based on one’s life experiences. To do otherwise would be foolish.

If one wants to address only profiling that is racist, hurtful, or just plainly wrong, it would have to include profiling used in black communities when dealing with policemen, firemen, or others in position of authority. Republican black men or women being called “Uncle Tom” is hurtful profiling as are the accusations of black honor students “acting white”.

There are many other examples that never arise when discussing profiling because profiling has joined racism on a one-way street paved by “progressives”. Stereotypes, another form of profiling, are hypocritically used constantly by liberals when they demean conservatives, Catholics, pro-lifers, etc., but are labeled hateful, sexist, racist, or worse when used elsewhere.

The reality is that racism is a two-way street, but president Obama only travels on one-way streets and he always assumes the right-of-way, especially on Race Street. Welcome to Obama’s unified, post-racial era.

Ferguson, Obama, and “Your” Laws

November 24, 2014

Consequences of President Obama’s top-down attitudes on racism and the rule of law are evident in Ferguson where protestors are ignorantly shoutingwe don’t give a f**k about your laws”. That pretty much mirrors what the American public has been hearing from the White House.

Obama’s knee-jerk reactions to racially sensitive issues set a tone for the black community that has resulted in increased racial tensions in the country. Expectations of a “post-racial” era were dashed early in Obama’s first term when he took a hasty anti-police stance in the Harvard Professor Gates incident. His racial knee jerked again in the Trayvon Martin incident and sending Holder to Ferguson provided a presidential stamp of approval for turning Michael Brown’s death into a racial schism.

His disregard for the law has been on display with his willingness to ignore, skirt, and re-define immigration laws and his back-room negotiations have underscored his scorn for the “transparency” he once promised. Using executive orders to get his way shows how he feels about “your” laws, the same laws protesters “don’t give a f**k about”.

The use of “your laws” by the protesters exemplifies the disassociation and disrespect Obama displayed for this country and its laws with his “apology tour”. Once he solidified and legitimized that attitude, it was adopted by many admirers in the black community and it now fuels the Ferguson fiasco.

Disregard for the law from the top cannot help but have dire consequences. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen the last of those consequences.

A Liberal’s Criteria for Being Black

November 11, 2014

“Professor” Darron T. Smith’s column about Mia Love over at the Huffington Post perfectly displays an elite, out-of-touch, liberal view on race that continues to be a detriment to the black community and the country. It also reeks of racism.

The title of Smith’s blog begins with “She looks black, but…” which is a despicable insult to any member of the black community. Mia Love IS black, she doesn’t just “look” black, and she certainly doesn’t need Smith to instruct her on how to be black.

Mia Love is a female Republican who beat out a Democrat to win a seat in the House of Representatives and it baffles Smith that any black woman could be a Republican. He believes that Mia, who belongs to what he labels the “fringe religion” of Mormonism, “represents one of the most discriminated-against racial groups in the country” and he can’t understand how she can “negotiate so many foreboding white contexts” and belong to a group that “lags behind in every major social indicator”.

The “professor” pontificates further, condemning Mia and others like her as being “out of touch with the political realities of African Americans” who are “the only group to vote their political interests”. This ignores the reality of the damage done to the black community by leftist policies designed to maintain dependency and the lack of any return for blindly voting as a bloc for the inexperienced Obama.

Smith has the audacity to say that Mia’s “accomplishment is quite dangerous for people of color”. The only danger it poses is to Smith’s narrow and prejudicial views. Mia’s accomplishment shows that breaking out of the black liberal stereotype is more than just possible; it is also liberating and promising.

It is hypocritical for Smith to utter such backward and prejudicial nonsense while considering himself to be a liberal champion for diversity. He has a pigeon hole for blacks, a pigeon hole for whites, a pigeon hole for women, and a very special pigeon hole for black women. What a sad, small world he lives in.

Holder To Monitor Polls

November 4, 2014

A recent video filmed in North Carolina from James O’Keefe, president of the Project Veritas Action Group, showed that states requiring no ID for voting provide an easy opportunity for fraudulent voting on a massive scale.

Colorado’s new election system allows voting by mail, same-day registration, ballots sent to every registered voter (who may not have voted in years), and “ballot harvesting” where one individual can collect the ballots of up to 10 people and drop them off. There is no way of monitoring that 10-ballot drop-off or the many other flaws in the system.

Voting machines in Illinois and Maryland have been found with what has been called a “calibration issue” that electronically switched votes for Republicans over to Democrats. Florida is on the look-out to prevent absentee ballot fraud which has plagued the state in recent years. A man in New Mexico tried to vote and found that an imposter had already voted in his place.

These are just some of the known voting issues defying the left’s claim that voter fraud is non-existent, yet, they scream that voter ID is voter suppression with no proof at all. One can guess what they would scream if those voting machines in Illinois and Maryland were switching Democrat votes to Republicans.

Not to worry, though, because U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is sending poll monitors to 18 states to be on the look-out for…race-based discrimination. He didn’t find it in Philadelphia when members of the Black Panthers carrying nightsticks were intimidating voters at the polls in 2008, but he’ll keep looking until he does find it – because he “believes” it’s there.

Holder is stuck on race and has turned the entire Justice Department into a race-based organization. He believes that voter ID laws are racist even though ID is required for almost everything, including attendance at an NAACP rally. He doesn’t recognize how demeaning it is to treat the black community incapable of obtaining an ID. He should have been gone long ago.

Angry Voters

October 28, 2014

A recent CNN poll found “nearly 7 in 10 Americans are angry at the direction the country is headed and 53% of Americans disapprove of President Barack Obama’s job performance”. Angry voters should direct their anger at themselves for having elected Obama – twice – after ignoring evidence of the direction Obama intended all along.

Details of Obama’s “transformation of America” were there between the lines of his campaign rhetoric but the mainstream media was intent on “making history” and pushing their own idealistic agenda, so they kept details hidden. Those trying to reveal the truth were labeled racists or right-wing radicals and were ridiculed. Far too many voters allowed themselves to be duped.

The black community overwhelmingly and blindly voted for Obama solely because he was black, willfully ignoring his radical background, inexperience, and intent. They certainly should be angry at themselves for allowing emotions and unrealistic expectations to overcome common sense. Obama’s policies, especially on immigration, have done more harm than good for the black community.

A majority of women, too, voted for Obama – twice. His administration’s politically manufactured “GOP war on women” is as insulting as treating women as if they are only concerned with birth control and abortion. Women should be angry at themselves for allowing such political manipulation to continue unchallenged.

Unfortunately, too many young voters have been indoctrinated by the liberal, progressive academia to know they should be angry. They have little personal experience of America’s greatness to understand the damage caused by Obama. They have been conditioned (brainwashed?) to government handouts and America-bashing and do not realize how demeaning that is. Someday, they may, but their votes are needed now, before it’s too late.

There are many valid reasons for voter anger, but action is needed rather than anger. It would be disastrous to allow voter anger to become voter apathy. The time to turn this around is now. Vote angry and vote wisely.

Questions to Ponder This Week

October 8, 2014

Why is Jesse Jackson going to Texas to talk to the family of the Ebola victim? Is he a doctor? Is Ebola a racial problem? Or is it just because there are cameras?

Why did former CIA director Leon Panetta remain silent on Benghazi when he now admits that he knew from the “very beginning” (as we all did) that Benghazi was a “terrorist attack on our compound”? Was he silenced? Did he fear the administration? Or was he just waiting to reveal it in his book?

Why was Oprah surprised and upset when actress and singer Raven-Symone said she considers herself “American,” not “African-American”? Shouldn’t Oprah applaud such a post-racial idea? Does Oprah fear a color-blind society? Or does she believe that all black women must toe the liberal line?

Why does FBI director James Comey believe Americans fighting with terrorists in Syria are “entitled to come back” unless their passport is revoked? Is he just being politically correct? Does treason no longer exist? Or does he fear offending the left by being too judgmental?

Why does anyone care about Jimmy Carter’s criticism of Obama’s Middle East policies? Is it because Carter was such an expert on Middle East solutions? Or is it because compared to Obama, Carter is starting to look like a competent president?

With over 600 school districts (and counting) across the country dropping out of the school lunch program, why hasn’t it been overhauled or removed? Is it because Michelle Obama is a nutritional expert? Or is it because the liberal agenda requires unconditional support for the Obama’s and cannot admit failure?

Why is the producer of an anti-Obamacare movie being audited by the IRS? Is it just a coincidence? Or is it because the mantra “there is no scandal at the IRS” worked and the IRS is back to business as usual?

Myth Busting

October 2, 2014

Many believe progressive left-wingers hate Ann Coulter because she is an outspoken conservative, but the real reason is because she uses facts to disprove religious-like beliefs they blindly follow. Her latest column will once again cause outrage because she shows a few more “beliefs” to be nothing more than myths.

Coulter rips apart a meme based on a study saying “the purchase of a handgun was associated with 2.4 times the risk of being murdered and 6.8 times the risk of suicide”. No, it is not true and neither is the belief that emergency room admissions for domestic violence spike on Super Bowl Sundays, an oft-heard feminist mantra. Coulter shows these to be nothing more than convenient falsehoods used to help advance an agenda.

Another myth currently making the rounds due to the recent White House crasher is that Obama gets more threats than any other president (because he is black). Coulter uses facts to disprove that, too, adding the inconvenient and politically incorrect truth that those “most likely to assassinate a president are leftists, socialists, communists, Palestinian activists, crazed environmentalists and communitarians”.

Those upset with Coulter because of this column will undoubtedly use insults and demeaning names to ridicule her. They will not counter with facts because there are none backing up these “beliefs”. Name-calling is their standard retort.

The progressive left’s agenda is filled with myths: Democrats freed the slaves; there is a war on women; Republicans are racist and have no compassion; liberals are tolerant; the rich hate the poor; man-made global warming is a fact; voter ID means voter suppression; a fetus is not a living being; pro-life is anti-women; all religions are the same; the economy is doing well; Obama has superior intelligence; etc. etc.

It seems much of the left’s progressive agenda is based on what they believe “should be” and reality just gets in the way. Ann Coulter excels at delivering reality – and rubbing their noses in it.

Give ‘em hell, Ann.

Holder Stirs the Racial Pot

August 20, 2014

Attorney General Eric Holder has made it known he believes racism is the reason for criticism of himself and president Obama. He refused to press charges against the Black Panthers for voter intimidation during the 2008 elections despite overwhelming evidence against them. He has plotted with president Obama and Al Sharpton to find ways to combat state voter identification laws, deeming them to be racist. His department’s Community Relations Service helped organize protests in the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, inflaming racial tensions.

Now, Eric Holder, along with his Community Relations Service, is going to Ferguson, Missouri to…well…it’s not really clear why. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are already there making sure this fiasco remains a race issue and the police officer remains guilty regardless of facts. Holder’s presence will only re-enforce that. No one believes he is going there to ensure the accused’s rights are upheld.

Ferguson is another example of top-down attitudes from this administration infecting the nation. Racism has been inflamed and kept in the forefront by president Obama and Eric Holder making it no surprise that the black community becomes inflamed at every opportunity. Obama’s attitudes toward social injustice, economic disparity, and America’s atrocities and “unfairness” have also seeped into society creating divisiveness, class warfare, and anger – all for political purposes and his personal agenda.

The incident in Ferguson has become a purely racial issue and will remain so throughout the trial that Holder, Sharpton, and Jackson are there to ensure will occur. Any facts that may not substantiate a trial or possibly indicate the officer acted properly will be labeled as a racist police cover-up. If such facts are not kept hidden, further rioting will occur until they no longer matter.

This is where we are today and Obama and his administration is at the very least partially responsible. We were once on the path to racial healing. Now we are in a “post-racial era” with wounds being rubbed raw once again. This is called progress.

Here We Go Again

August 12, 2014

Ferguson, Missouri experienced looting and rioting after a young, unarmed black man was shot multiple times and killed by a police officer. It does not look good for the police officer at this time, but an investigation had barely begun when incensed locals (and many from out of town) decided the best way to deal with this was by looting and rioting. They are sure of what happened but if wrong, at least they will get some free stuff.

A free TV, free food, free cash from a busted ATM, or just the fun of burning down a local store and a few parked cars is the going rate of exchange for inner city rage (and sometimes for the celebration of a sports team championship). It doesn’t matter whose store is looted, or whose car is burned. In fact, it is the local community, the same community that is outraged, that will experience destruction.

Some in Ferguson are recognizing the stupidity of wrecking one’s own neighborhood, sending out on Twitter that the rioting needed to be done in white neighborhoods. Blaming all white people for the actions of one individual is not considered racist because racism, along with most looting, is a one-way street in today’s society. Some even believe that a black person cannot be racist but that is ignorantly wrong – and is a racist remark.

When a white policeman is gunned down in cold blood it never results in rioting and looting. In fact, the killing of a policeman is often celebrated in song with protests demanding the killer be set free – which brings us to Al Sharpton, now on his way to Ferguson.

Al Sharpton (appearing wherever there are cameras) was the spark that lit the fire in the Crown Heights riots of 1991 and the Freddy’s Fashion Mart massacre in 1995 – after making a fool of himself in the 1987 Tawana Brawley fiasco (which he still won’t admit was a hoax). Is there any reason to believe Sharpton will be a calming influence and bring civilized behavior back to Ferguson?

Welcome to post-racial America.
