Jimmy Carter Puts a Hex on Egypt

It is now official. Egypt is most definitely in dire trouble. Jimmy Carter, known to be wrong about almost everything, particularly about the Middle East, said: “I think the Muslim Brotherhood is not anything to be afraid of in the upcoming (Egyptian) political situation and the evolution I see as most likely”. If you didn’t fear the Muslim Brotherhood before, you’d better begin doing so now.

Carter added that “The demonstrators will not accept anything less than honest, fair and open elections” which, of course, includes the Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators. This, too, is a call to ignore the dangerous ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood and to rely on the “honest, fair and open” elections that he believes historically abound in the Middle East.

If you’re still not convinced that Egypt has now been doomed to failure, consider that Carter also assured that his foundation, the Carter Center, will be as “involved as possible” in bringing about successful Egyptian elections in September. If that’s not a double whammy, nothing is. Carter’s stamp of approval is akin to an NFL owner’s vote of confidence in his coach after a disastrous season.

As president, Jimmy Carter handled the Iran hostage situation with outstanding incompetence and the spectacular failures of his administration in Iran helped Islamofacism flourish. Convinced of his expertise in Middle East affairs, he has been a cheer leader for Palestinian terrorists, shifting all blame for Middle East violence onto Israel and the US.

Since his presidency, Carter has branched out to prop up dictators around the world such as Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, North Korea’s Kim Sung Il, or Cuba’s Fidel Castro. It seems that Carter never met a dictator he didn’t like, as long as they hate the US. Now, the Muslim Brotherhood is getting the Carter stamp of approval. This is a sure indication that Egypt is a goner. The hex is in.
