A Quick Shout-Out to Wisconsin’s Governor Walker

It turns out that Organizing for America, President Obama’s political arm (since when do president’s have groups like this doing their dirty work?) are involved in the Wisconsin bru-ha-ha.

From an Organizing for America blog:

For the past two days, thousands of workers have been gathering at the State Capitol in Madison, WI, to defend their rights in the workplace. From nurses to police officers, public sector workers and OFA volunteers have been protesting against proposed legislation to take away workers’ rights to bargain collectively. With a vote on the legislation expected as early as today, volunteers are already gathering at the Capitol this morning. It’s going to be a big day in Madison and you can follow updates throughout the day on the OFA Wisconsin Twitter feed.

Organizing for America is mobilizing on the ground in Wisconsin to defend the rights of public employees from an attempt by the governor to take away their right to organize.

The blog is at:

(sorry, no linking again today)

Check it out. It’s at BarackObama.com !

Why is the president or anyone associated with him involved in this?

A quick shout-out to Governor Walker, Wisconsin’s governor. You go, Governor!
