Ouch! Inflation Up Again

As we’ve mentioned in the past, the AsAMom.org group has been monitoring inflation in food and gasoline. They’ve just completed 20 weeks of monitoring the same basketful of grocery items, and have found that it has risen by 5.7%. That means the average grocery basket of items that started at $116.14 twenty weeks ago now costs $7.04 more.

Big ticket increase: gasoline, up 22.5% (any surprise there?)

Visit Asamom.org for more information.

By the way, you’ll be glad to know that “the Ben Bernanke” (don’t tell me you missed the video) insists that inflation is only temporary–or transitory, as he likes to call it.
