Obama Slaps Israel – Again

Incredibly, Obama took another slap at Israel just when his campaign managers are trying to assure many unsettled US Jewish contributors that Obama is not pro-Palestinian. It remains a political enigma how Obama, often accused of being an anti-Semite, continues to get Jewish backing and votes while seeming to favor the Palestinians.

President Barack Obama is endorsing the Palestinians’ demand for their future state to be based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war, in a move that will likely infuriate Israel. Israel says the borders of a Palestinian state have to be determined through negotiations.

…Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu is vehemently opposed to referring to the 1967 borders…the U.S. position had been that the Palestinian goal of a state based on the 1967 borders, with agreed land swaps, should be reconciled with Israel’s desire for a secure Jewish state through negotiations.

One Response to “Obama Slaps Israel – Again”

  1. Robert B. Sklaroff, M.D. Says:

Having watched the multiple instant-commentaries on this issue, it is clear that it has become politicized.

I was personally involved in a comparable effort one year ago regarding the Toomey/Sestak competition, and there is no question that “the irresistible force [of truth] MOVED the immovable object [Jewish-D fealty].”

The %-age appears to have increased by 50% [from 20 to 30, within one year] and the growing realization of the damaged caused by BHO’s statism/leftism will help the GOP educate the electorate accordingly.
