The Fix Is In – Transformation Complete

July 6, 2016

Looking as comfortable as a hostage reading an ISIS manifesto, F.B.I. director James B. Comey let Hillary off the legal hook for “extreme carelessness”, aka “gross negligence”, in her handling of confidential and secret e-mails. Also like a hostage, Comey tried to blink the message that Hillary is guilty and has been lying and obstructing justice right from the beginning of this fiasco. That, however, is too “nuanced” for true believers to see, so Hillary is now free to complete the “transformation” started by Obama.

If American voters are willing to accept this insult to their intelligence in order to “make history” by electing Hillary president, they will then deserve the consequences. Obama set the precedent of ignoring and changing the law from the White House and it has now become standard procedure throughout his administration. If elected, Hillary will cast that precedent in concrete and there will be no turning back.

Comey lamely gave lack of “intent” to do harm as an excuse but that is not the law. It certainly wasn’t the law in 2015 when Naval Reservist Brian Nishimura was sentenced to two years of probation and a $7,500 fine for a very similar incident. In that case, the FBI also determined that Nishimura did not “intend” to distribute classified information to unauthorized personnel, but Nishimura was not a player in the “transformation” so he had to pay.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch set the stage (and possibly wrote the script) for this pathetic play just a few days earlier after being caught having a “secret” meeting with former president Bill Clinton. She then tried to clear the mucky air by saying she would accept whatever recommendations the FBI offered, forcing Comey to do the dirty job for her. Somewhere, former USSR officials are smiling knowingly at the charade.

If this doesn’t wake up American citizens nothing will, and the country is lost.

Obama Foreign Policy Disaster

September 30, 2015

President Obama brought his only experience, community organizing, along with his radical beliefs into the White House and foolishly applied both to foreign affairs. It has been a devastating failure.

Obama’s well-documented socialist (and communist) background shapes his social agenda and his belief that the U.S. should be less powerful and less influential around the globe shapes his foreign policy. He believes that the U.S. has done more harm than good and should be stripped of its power and dominant leadership role in the world.

With no thought given to consequences, Obama began a campaign to level the playing field and change the balance of power in the world. His aggressively dismissive attitude toward Israel not only alienated our staunchest ally in the region, it encouraged surrounding Arab states and Islamic extremists to ramp up engrained hatred for Israel and the Western world.

His hasty removal of all troops from Iraq satisfied his campaign promise as well as his distaste for the military and U.S. military power but it cleared the stage for Islamic extremists. His refusal to do anything about the increasing chaos allowed Putin to gain an influence in the Middle East that has been denied him for years. We have now lost our foothold in the Middle East as well as respect.

Obama’s idealistic deal with Iran will result in leveling the nuclear playing field in the Middle East as well. Iran will obviously continue a nuclear weapons program under the toothless deal forcing surrounding countries to counter the threat with nuclear weapons of their own. The Middle East is on the verge of going nuclear at a time when bloodthirsty terrorists are rampaging unimpeded.

European countries can no longer rely on the U.S. for protection and are now dangerously vulnerable. Obama’s weakness and the refugee influx from the disintegrating Middle East provide Putin with another opportunity to take advantage. Europe is now facing danger at a level not seen since WWII.

It took years to gain respect, power, and influence around the world and it will take years to regain what we have lost – if we can. The upcoming presidential election will determine whether we are going to try or just give up. Which way will you vote?

Lest We Forget

August 10, 2015

From the far-left we continually hear about the sins of this country, complete with so-called “intellectuals” labeling the US as the biggest terrorist country in the world. Lest we forget, the lowest point in this country’s history was reached through the actions of the far-left.

Though certainly a contender, slavery was not this country’s lowest point. That was a very dark era, but slavery was not invented here and it was not unique in the history of the world. It was a major factor for the Civil War, another dark era but, again, not unique in world history. What was unique, however, was the turning of citizens against other citizens serving the country in the armed forces.

The hatred and actions from the left towards Vietnam servicemen in the late 60’s and early 70’s was despicable. It is true that there were occurrences in history where citizens feared, despised, and turned against their military, but it was always due to the military’s viciousness under the direction of a repressive regime. It did not and it should not occur in a country based on democracy and freedom – but it did.

It is estimated that 2/3 of the men who served in Vietnam were volunteers and those who were drafted went because they felt it their duty to serve when called. They were not responsible for the decisions leading to the war or the planning of military operations. They were young men (the average age of an infantryman in Vietnam was 22) willing to put their lives on the line to serve their country. They earned and deserved respect, honor, and decency from their countrymen – not vilification.

One can understandably argue about the legitimacy of the war, the actions of our government, and the motivations of those making decisions. Increasing protests during that period did just that, but the far-left fomented hatred and created an opportunity to begin a “transformation” that continues to this day.

The hatred shown by the far-left towards Vietnam vets during that time was as real as it was despicable – and it was the lowest point in this country’s history. With the aid of useful idiots such as Jane Fonda, those intent on tearing down this country made that hate seem legitimate, allowing it to spread with the growing distaste for the war. Though now hidden, it still exists.

Those who served in Vietnam will never forget the depth of depravity the far-left is capable of. Everyone needs to be mindful of it during the presidential campaign when the bashing becomes loudest and the hatred is bared.

And So It Begins In Earnest

June 25, 2015

With incredible swiftness (and much help from the media), eradication of the Confederate flag has become the most urgent issue facing the nation, pushing the Charleston shootings from the headlines. The shootings, of course, are being used to bolster the meme of a totally racist America, but the erasing of the Confederate flag that is being advanced, and largely accepted, as some sort of solution to racism is just the first step in America-bashing leftists’ campaign to re-write history.

Much scorn from the left is being heaped upon Rush Limbaugh for his prediction that the next flag to come under attack will be the American flag, but the flag burnings we see at every protest and riot indicate it is already occurring. In response to the current Confederate flag attack, Louis Farrakhan said “I don’t know what the hell the fight is about over the Confederate flag. We need to put the American flag down”. He has been on this bandwagon for quite some time.

It is not just the Confederate flag. The Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC and many statues of Confederate soldiers are being demanded to be removed. The attempt seems to be the removal of the history of slavery in order to remove racism but it is much more sinister than that. It is changing history to make a repressive agenda seem legitimate. The old Soviet Union perfected it and North Korea is still doing it.

It is also the epitome of political correctness, pretending something is real and browbeating others into accepting the pretense. Obama has been doing that successfully since taking office, so re-writing history and accepting this attack on the Confederate flag as a righteous and necessary move is easy for many. Conditioning has been accomplished, the farce has been put in place, and the transformation is under way in earnest. God help us all.

Can the U.S. Survive This Foreign Policy?

April 14, 2014

This administration’s foreign policy has been a terrible failure and the U.S. may never be able to recover from the damage already done. Three more years of this could bring an end to all influence and respect the U.S. once had throughout the world and alienate every ally we ever had.

“Leading from behind” has placed us firmly behind on every international issue and our foreign policies are deliberately designed to keep us behind. Obama’s “fundamental transformation” was conceived with the intent of reducing United States influence and it is succeeding all too well.

Russia is now taking a leading role in world affairs and, convinced of Obama’s impotency, Putin is boldly threatening the security of Europe with aggressiveness in the Ukraine. With no fear of reprisal from Obama, Putin is blatantly resurrecting the Soviet Union from the ashes of the cold war.

Having done little to nothing in response to Putin’s aggression, Obama issued a warning to Moscow this week of “additional consequences” if it fails to reduce tensions with Ukraine. What, exactly, does “additional” mean when there were no consequences in the first place? It is nothing more than another one of Obama’s rhetorical, and useless, responses.

As if that weren’t enough, the administration is on the verge of joining the State Department, headed by sycophant John Kerry, in accommodating Russia’s request (per the Open Skies Treaty) to upgrade sensor packages in planes flying over the U.S. that would allow a significant increase in spying capabilities. Once again, Obama is willing to accommodate everyone but our own Defense Department which is vehemently against such a move.

It is frightening to think what almost three more years of this foreign policy could do to our country. Even more frightening is the thought that voters may not wake up in time to stop four more years of this “progressive” nonsense. If that happens, there is little doubt that the country, and the world, will never recover.

Dangerous Democrats

March 6, 2014

Ann Coulter cuts through the smoke and mirrors and presents a stark summary that goes against much of the media’s “recollections” of the competence of Democrat president’s dealings with foreign affairs. It does not give one a warm, fuzzy feeling about current world events.

From Ann Coulter

As long as a Democrat sits in the White House, America will be repeatedly humiliated, the world will become a much more dangerous place…John F. Kennedy was in the White House for less than three years and…Six months after becoming president, JFK had his calamitous meeting with Nikita Khrushchev in Vienna — a meeting The New York Times described as “one of the more self-destructive American actions of the Cold War, and one that contributed to the most dangerous crisis of the nuclear age”…Khrushchev was delighted to discover that the U.S. president was so “weak”…Lyndon Johnson, famously escalated the war in Vietnam simply to prove that the Democrats could be trusted with national security…that war allowed liberals to spend the next half-century denouncing every use of American military force as “another Vietnam”…Jimmy Carter warned Americans about their “inordinate fear of communism”…His most inspired strategic move was to abandon the Shah of Iran, a loyal U.S. ally, which gave rise to the global Islamofascist movement we’re still dealing with today…Before the end of the year, the Islamic lunatics had taken 52 Americans hostage in Tehran…Twice, when Clinton was president, Sudan had offered to turn over bin Laden to the U.S…According to Michael Scheuer, who ran the bin Laden unit at the CIA for many years, Clinton was given eight to 10 chances to kill or capture bin Laden but refused to act…When Obama took office, al Qaida had been routed in Iraq…A few short years into Obama’s presidency — and al-Qaida is back! For purely political reasons, as soon as he became president, Obama removed every last troop from Iraq…So now, another Russian leader is playing cat-and-mouse with an American president — and guess who’s the mouse…

Progressive Derangement

November 26, 2013

Professor Noel Ignatiev at Massachusetts College seriously proclaimed to his class: “If you are a white male, you don’t deserve to live. You are a cancer, you’re a disease, white males have never contributed anything positive to the world! They only murder, exploit and oppress non-whites…what can a white male do? He’s good for nothing”.

It has been reported that this tirade basically calling for white males to commit suicide was received by his predominately white, middle-class students with a standing ovation. The “Diversity Chronicle” found it remarkable that “a few far-right extremists” actually objected to the professor’s “sound and reasonable words” that “resonate with every enlightened and progressive mind”. Therefore, an enlightened Ivan Fernando from the “Diversity Chronicle” interviewed Ignatiev to clear up any confusion.

Professor Ignatiev clarified: “The goal of destroying the white race is simply so desirable, it boggles the mind trying to understand how anyone could possibly object to it…Those who object to my advice (destroying the cancer of humanity known as the white race), knowingly or perhaps unknowingly, are themselves white supremacists.”

These are the words of wisdom from a retiring, tenured professor in our “progressive” education system. The fact that this is so blatantly racist that it makes Al Sharpton look moderate doesn’t even scratch the depth of its depravity, and our children are being brainwashed with twisted ideology like this in colleges all across the country. This is being paid for with second mortgages, student loans, and life-long savings.

If this is the future you desire for your children, don’t vote. Stay home and let the deranged, squeaky wheels continue to steer the country. The past two presidential elections emboldened those who espouse this nonsense and it is being labeled “mainstream” thinking. Is it? If so, we are already past the point of no return. If not, we may still be able to avoid doom, but the “mainstream” has to vote to be heard.

The Enemy Within

July 22, 2013

A perfect example of the existence of our “enemy within” was provided by Andrew Sullivan over the weekend. When asked by Chris Matthews if he thought the US would be a superpower in 20 years, Sullivan honestly answered that “With any luck we won’t be”. This elicited laughter from Matthews’ liberal guests who were unashamed to be in agreement with the wish that the United States loses its prominence in the world.

Bringing down America (i.e. the United States) has been a goal, adopted from Communism, for the far-left for years, but it has been looked upon as an innocuous idea held only by a fringe element of society. Unfortunately, that fringe element has grown and become emboldened by the election of Obama who expressed his own dissatisfaction with this country and instituted a personal agenda to change it to his personal view.

Obama’s promise to “fundamentally transform America” was not taken literally by far too many liberals interested only in social, “progressive” issues. Making history and putting someone in the White House sympathetic to their issues turned them into partisan backers of Obama’s agenda. That agenda legitimized far-left, anti-American ideas that are now blindly being backed through partisan political inertia.

Wanting to be the best and working towards excellence have been envious American traits for hundreds of years, making this country a world power and a world leader maintaining the torch of freedom for all. It is pathetic that anyone here could wish we lose that standing and become just another nation falling victim to socialized mediocrity and attracting immigrants looking for handouts rather than opportunity.

Idealism forces one to focus on mistakes rather than accomplishments and that leads to contempt. Obama legitimized that contempt and it is now imbedded in his transformation agenda that blind followers have embraced. The enemy is, indeed, within and unless the blinders come off, our demise is evident. It is already in the making.

40 Years After Vietnam

March 30, 2013

The last US combat troops left Vietnam forty years ago on March 29, 1973. This was a result of a so-called “peace agreement” signed in Paris, but no peace occurred in South Vietnam. In fact, the ensuing year after the agreement was more deadly in South Vietnam than any year of the war.  That’s because the US wanted out of Vietnam, cared little about consequences, and declared “peace with honor” by signing an agreement everyone knew would not be honored by North Vietnam.

The US abandoned South Vietnam; much like it is abandoning Iraq and, eventually, will abandon Afghanistan (the “good” war). That is the lesson we learned from the Vietnam War. Declaring a politically incorrect war to be over is as good as a victory if it can be “sold” to the public as a win. That has now been expanded to simply declaring the economy to be fine, declaring the deficit to be no problem, declaring contraception to be a right, or declaring that the rich pay no taxes. Ideology trumps all.

One’s opinion of the Vietnam War is irrelevant to the issue of abandonment. A commitment was made to South Vietnam as part of the “peace agreement” to provide assistance if North Vietnam continued aggression, but a Democrat-controlled Congress refused that assistance when it quickly became needed. The US blatantly reneged on its commitment, abandoning South Vietnam to a total collapse and slaughter – because of ideology.

With war comes a responsibility, regardless of the reasons for the war. One should enter into war with clear goals and to win, or don’t enter into it at all. Allowing changing social mores, public opinion, or ideology to override responsibility or dictate rules of engagement is wrong. A “humane” war is an oxymoron and a losing strategy. War is hell, and hell should be entered only with good reason and traversed through as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Forty years after Vietnam, we have still not learned. Our enemies, on the other hand, learned well: Stick it out long enough and the US will tire and retreat. Where is the honor in that?

Reagan Was Right – Again

March 25, 2013

As a result of North Korea rattling its nuclear sword with long range missile tests and development of a mobile launcher, Obama reluctantly reversed his decision to freeze the Alaskan missile defense system and allowed ground-based missile interceptors to be deployed. By doing so, Obama inadvertently pays homage to Ronald Reagan’s SDI initiative.

Thirty years ago, Reagan was demonized and ridiculed for his “evil empire” speech against the Soviet Union and his idea of a missile defense initiative (SDI). It was sneeringly labeled “Star Wars” by Sen. Ted Kennedy who had no such ridicule when President John F. Kennedy pushed the limits of technology by calling for a man on the moon in less than a decade. Technology is only embraced by liberals when it fits their political ideology.

Both George H. and George W. Bush kept SDI alive while in the White House. Bill Clinton, supposedly a far-thinking president, pointedly ignored it as best he could. Obama is only allowing interceptors because North Korean missiles may now have the capability of hitting the west coast of the US. His foreign policy with North Korea and Iran failed to stop or limit their nuclear aggression and threats can no longer be ignored.

Obama’s distaste for SDI was evident when he cancelled the anti-missile system that was scheduled for deployment in Poland and the Czech Republic as a defense against potential Iranian missiles. Obama caved to the Russian complaint (fear?) against a system that could neutralize Russian intercontinental missiles, as if defending against them was an act of aggression. Consequently, Iran’s continued development of a nuclear missile poses a threat that could have been, but won’t be, defended against.

Obama cancelled several other missile defense programs, causing us to fall behind in that technology at a time when the threat of a rogue nuclear missile is increasing. Once again, Obama’s “fundamental transformation” is proving to be out of touch with reality and dangerous to the welfare of the country. If he finishes stripping us down to the defense level of other European countries, where will we and the free world turn for protection? Reagan instinctively understood.
