Waterboarding?

December 11, 2014

ISIS death squads have been on a rampage viciously killing women, children, and anyone who doesn’t bend to their will. They strap bombs to innocent children and use them as weapons. They have proudly published videos of the beheading of innocent Americans and they routinely ask, and receive, ransoms for captured European citizens, killing them brutally if refused.

Now, ISIS is trying to sell the remains of beheaded journalist James Foley to his parents or the US government for one million dollars. They are calling this horrific ransom attempt an “act of mercy” and a “humanity case”.

These are the “Islamic fundamentalists” the world is up against. These are the bastards that blind, ignorant fools refuse to call “terrorists”, insisting on using the innocuous term “militants” for politically correct reasons. These are the ones we’re supposed to try to understand.

And here, in the good old USA, we’re beating ourselves up, proudly proclaiming to the world how terrible we are and apologizing to all because we dared to waterboard one of these beasts in an effort to stop American citizens from being slaughtered? We’re the ones the far-left idiots living right here in this country condemn and have no qualms about calling terrorists. We’re the ones living in fear that waterboarding will make us as brutal and uncivilized as them while we keep sending drones, hoping to kill someone important.

We are living in a fantasy world where we are always the good guy and the good guy always wins. Meanwhile, our enemies are laughing at us and patiently awaiting the victory that our foolishness is sure to bring their way. We proudly accept allowing hundreds of the guilty to go free as long as we don’t wrongly convict one innocent and we are willing to allow thousands of innocents to be killed rather than waterboard one terrorist.

What are we transforming into?

Fool Me Once…

December 10, 2014

President Obama is seeking more discretionary power to wage war as he sees fit. After campaigning to end the war in Iraq, prematurely pulling all our troops out against military advice, and promising not to put “boots on the ground”, he now wants to increase his personal use of military power.

This president has a history of lying (e.g.“if you like your doctor…); a history of acting alone (e.g. executive order for illegals, cancelling Obamacare rules); a history of ignoring the law (e.g. directing ICE not to deport illegals); a history of ignoring the Pentagon (pulling all troops out of Iraq); and a history of reneging on promises (e.g. Immigration reform in first term, transparency, shovel-ready projects, closing GITMO, etc.). It would behoove Congress to remember the age-old idiom: “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”

Obama has fooled the American public and Congress over and over and he has arrogantly assumed more power than any president was ever meant to have. He has displayed a leftist distaste for the military by shunning military advice, apologizing to the world for past military involvement, and taking military decisions away from the Pentagon. He has assumed personal control over drone use and drone targeting and is now adding “boots on the ground” to the 3500 already there as if never having vowed not to.

Obama has been an egotistical, runaway train doing whatever he wants whenever he wants while refusing to take responsibility for anything. We will spend years trying to recover from the policies and precedents he set in place. It would be shameful beyond belief to grant him more power, especially military power.

Almost everything from Obama and his administration has been s**t masquerading as chocolate.  What could possibly go wrong by giving him more power?

Arrogant Overreach

November 13, 2014

Fingers are being pointed and excuses are being drummed up as Democrats scramble to find reasons for the beat-down they received in the mid-term elections. If they would step outside their agenda for a moment they would see the one basic reason: arrogant overreach.

Arrogance is a far-left characteristic that Obama brought to the White House and it infected his administration and the entire Democrat Party. It fueled the false beliefs that Obama had a “mandate” to transform America and that his far-left social engineering agenda was acceptable to the majority.

Because of these false “beliefs”, Obama was given free reign from Democrats and the media to do whatever he wished. This allowed Obamacare to get hastily passed into law by a Democrat Congress ignorant of its contents and willfully blind to the deceit used to sell it.

The quick and successful passage of Obamacare convinced Democrats they had a righteous infallibility and when combined with arrogance, it compelled them to overreach on almost every issue. Critics were demeaned, silenced, and ignored as free birth control, abortions, open borders, amnesty, higher taxes, troop pullout, drones, part-time jobs, bailouts, increased food stamps, school lunch programs, and much more was dumped onto society.

Obama and Democrats arrogantly forced too much too quickly. It was political overreach. Failure of many of Obama’s foreign policies can also be attributed to overreach. The world doesn’t accept change any quicker than society does, especially without investigating the consequences.

This mid-term election was proof of the adage that “pride comes before the fall”. One can debate whether pride or arrogance comes first, but they are almost always found together. One can also debate Jonathan Gruber’s claim of taking advantage of the “stupidity of the American voter” but it is a known fact that taking voter stupidity for granted can be perilous. Just ask any Democrat.

Spinning the Boston Bombing

April 24, 2013

The Washington Post wants us to believe that we are incapable of coming to grips with the Boston bombers because they “don’t neatly fit into pre-existing boxes”. Since they are not dark skinned, our limited brains cannot connect any dots. Race being an obsession of the left, it is the yardstick all are expected to use – for everything.

Also, the fact that the bombing brothers had Muslim affiliations is to be overlooked. Had the brothers been Christians, their religion would certainly have been fair game, but we are to make nothing of their association with a “religion of peace”. As an Atlantic headline chastised all: “The Boston Bombers Were Muslims. So?”

Had the brothers been the first or only Muslims to use terror and random murder for their “cause”, one might agree with the Atlantic. However, only blind, foolish adherence to an agenda allows someone to embrace pretense rather than the reality that another terrorist attack has been perpetrated by Muslims; not Buddhists, Christians, Jews or Scientologists.

The far left’s severe disappointment that the bombing brothers are not white, right-wing, anti-Obama fanatics is being compensated with accusations that “we” are the ones somehow in the wrong. Let down again by their failing idealism, they are spinning as fast as they can to validate an agenda dependent upon denial.

Chris Matthews, a hard core liberal, jumped the gun wondering if Tax Day was a motivation while planting the idea (wish?) that domestic terrorists always come from the right. Once it became known the bombers were Muslims, he spun around and wondered why it was necessary to find out the reason they did it. He not only wants to deny the truth, he wants to bury it to keep his dream alive.

The Obama administration has presented a false sense of security for political gain. Obama’s drone war in a far-away land allows him to pretend he has defeated terrorism. Terrorist threats on US soil are a political liability that shatter the illusion and interfere with his “transformation of America”.

The spin starts at the top.
