Obama Failures Piling Up

December 11, 2015

Obama’s failed foreign policies have become widely acknowledged, especially with regard to the Middle East and ISIS. Recent attacks in Paris and the U.S. have made a mockery of his disregard of terrorist threats and his refusal to name the enemy. However, this is but one area where he has failed and we must not forget his other failures piling up.

According to Forbes, “Obamacare’s coverage expansion fell between 6 and 12 million short of expectations, while driving the growth of health spending to its highest rate in 7 years”. UnitedHealth Group has lost hundreds of millions of dollars from offering coverage on the Obamacare exchanges and is considering pulling out. The CBO says Obamacare will cause the loss of 2 million jobs over the next decade, shrinking the workforce by approximately 1%. Due to the high cost of health coverage, 32 million people remain uninsured. This is a failure by anyone’s standards.

Although there has been a slight increase in jobs, many people have stopped looking for employment and far too many can only find part-time employment. The numbers, therefore, are skewed and the 5% unemployment rate is misleading since 94.7 million working age Americans (29% of the population) are considered not in the labor force. Meanwhile, the national debt continues to rise.

Our border remains dangerously unsecured and the influx of illegals is sucking up government funds. Obama released terrorists from GITMO who return to the battlefield. His refusal to compromise has increased partisanship in an already partisan Congress. Racial unrest is increasing and his “Leading from behind” has become a joke, leaving our country leaderless and no longer trusted throughout the world. His focus on climate change (aka global warming), which he calls our biggest threat, has produced nothing and his rhetorical nuclear agreement with Iran is being ignored as Iran continues its nuclear weapons pursuit with impunity.

In the face of all these failures and more, Obama remains arrogantly aloof, out of touch, and fumblingly non-reactive. Democrats have blindly backed Obama through all of this and must be held accountable. One can only hope we can survive another year before voting for a change – and we must vote for a change.

Denial Of War

November 16, 2015

After the terrorist attacks in Paris, France’s Le Parisien daily decared: “This Time It’s War”. What, then, do we call all the other times terrorists attacked if not war? We have “progressed” so far that we no longer recognize war when it is right in our face.

War means killing your enemy before they kill you and doing it as quickly and efficiently as possible until they surrender. War is horrifically bloody, vicious, and often indiscriminate. War causes mass destruction and casualties that bring out the worst in human nature and offend all human sensibilities. Reluctance to wage war is wise and prudent. Refusal to do so when necessary is suicide.

There is no such thing as a humane war. That is an oxymoron impossible to achieve. The “war on women”, the “war on drugs”, and the “war on Christmas” are foolish hyperboles that have desensitized society to the true meaning of war. The bullshit of political correctness blinds us to reality and we have become paralyzed by it.

ISIS understands war, has declared war, and is waging war successfully. We have been told in no uncertain terms by ISIS that they are coming here to kill us. They are currently infiltrating Europe through its open borders, some masquerading as refugees. ISIS has not been “contained” and they are not on the run. They are on the attack and Paris is just the beginning.

Our “leaders” have been in denial for years, refusing to even acknowledge radical Islam as a threat. This denial has given Iran time and permission to develop nuclear weapons, allowed ISIS to grow into an active invading force, and kept our border open for invasion. Europe’s denial resulted in bringing the Middle East rampage of ISIS to Paris. That carnage was brought about by only a handful of extremists rehearsing tactics that they are going to bring here on a larger scale.

Climate change (aka global warming) is not the biggest threat we currently face. That, too, is denial. We are at war whether we like it or not and our first step is to kill denial before it kills us. We’ve been losing that battle, too.

Containment Folly

November 15, 2015

From NRO:

On the very day that President Obama declared ISIS to be “contained,” it reached hundreds of miles outside the borders of its so-called caliphate and struck the heart of Paris…This is what happens when terrorists are given safe havens, when they have time and space to recruit and train new fighters, and when they have time and funds to organize attacks…The idea that ISIS could be “contained” was folly from the beginning…A serious war requires a serious strategy, one not hamstrung by absurd rules of engagement that grant enemy fighters known safe haven, nor can it be bound by silly notions that President Obama has “ended” a war that is still burning hot…jihadists are still eager to fight, and wars do not end when one side grows tired of battle…French president François Hollande has vowed to wage “pitiless” war against ISIS. We must demonstrate the same resolve…

The Press is NOT Charlie Hebdo

January 19, 2015

A great response to the hypocritical press concerning solidarity with Charlie Hebdo came from Rex Murphy last week at the National Post. He’s not buying their after-the-fact commitment and everyone needs to hear what he has to say about it.

From Rex Murphy

…we are in the middle of another blizzard of post-facto hashtag bravery…The solidarity would have been a lot more impressive, more persuasive, some time before this week’s mass butchery…Indeed, at our universities, newspapers and broadcasters, we have seen an ever-shrinking defense of free speech…the press and the universities, have been at best complicit and at worst cowardly when it comes up to defending freedom of speech — not from threats of Islamist fanatics with guns, but in much less demanding circumstances…

Where was this “we” when a video critical of Islam was mendaciously identified as the “cause” of the terror attack on Benghazi… Where is this We of the Hashtags when whole swathes of the press, and some political leaders, refuse to call acts that are plainly terroristic by their proper name…And where was We of the Hashtags when President Obama made the inexplicable declaration at the United Nations that “the future does not belong to those who slander the Prophet”…There is no “We are Charlie Hebdo” in that statement. There is surrender instead…Our universities bleat about inquiry and free speech, but they are feeble and craven, caving in to protestors and special interests…Where was “we” when a band of fatuous progressives protested former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice giving a convocation address at Rutgers University…Where was We of the Hashtags when Ann Coulter was pre-emptively cautioned about what she could or should say by officials at the University of Ottawa? Where was “we” when Ayaan Hirsi Ali was humiliated and an honourary degree invitation revoked after campus activists at Brandeis University — faculty and students — protested…There is no “we” after the killings. There are very few worthy of that claim … and, alas, under the shout of allahu akbar, 12 of them are now quite dead.

PC Idiotic Denial

January 15, 2015

Aided by politically correct useful idiots, radical Islamists are winning their war of terror. While President Obama and the liberal media remain terrorized over labeling the killers “radical Islamists”, saner people around the world are becoming more terrorized by the increasing denial on display.

Even after al Qaeda proudly claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks, blame continues to be spread to everyone but Islamic terrorists. Israel is being blamed by former president Jimmy Carter; Abu Ghraib is being blamed by David Rothkopf of Foreign Policy magazine; the President of Turkey is blaming French security forces; Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is blaming Western leaders; University of London professor Gilbert Achcar is blaming the US; and, of course, some French Muslims are blaming “shape-shifting Jews”.

One would think that France’s tough gun laws would keep the anti-gun crowd on the sidelines in the wake of the Paris attack, but Hollywood’s Liam Neeson couldn’t help himself. He took this opportunity to come out screaming about “too many guns out there”. He also refused to accept that violence in movies has any influence violence in society. Liam is bathed in PC denial on many levels.

CNN unconditionally surrendered to the terrorists without a fight by refusing to show the latest cover of Charlie Hebdo, declaring: “…it is our policy not to show potentially offensive images of the prophet”. CNN has no problems with the infamous “piss Christ” or cartoons ridiculing Jewish people. It’s just the prophet they fear offending. The recent religious ruling from a Saudi cleric forbidding the building of snowmen (because they are anti-Islamic) will surely bring more protective pixelating from CNN.

Idiotic PC adherents fear offending Muslims much more than they fear terrorist attacks. The Obamedia continually frets over it and tries hard to deny radical Islamists have any association with Islam. With protection such as this, is it any wonder terrorists are winning?
