Profiling & Spin From the Left

November 6, 2017

The Left has a myopic view of profiling much like it has with almost everything. They consider profiling to be discriminatory and sometimes downright evil but it is overlooked or rationalized when they engage in it. They don’t believe they profile but actions tell a different story.

White males are profiled and demeaned by the Left and current complaints of “white privilege” take it even further to include all white people. Black Republicans are profiled as traitors to their race and women Republicans are profiled as traitors to women. Trump voters are profiled as dumb, ignorant racists; rioters in the street are profiled as social justice warriors; the rich are profiled as heartless, Christians are profiled as white supremacists; and illegal immigrants are profiled as ordinary immigrants.

There is no limit to the spin the Left will use to frame issues. Facts are ignored, news stories are manufactured, and words are re-defined. Thus, racism exists only in white people; illegal immigrants are undocumented workers; killing a fetus is pro-life; climate change means man-made global warming; comprehensive immigration reform is nothing but amnesty; free speech means shutting down opposing views; and voter ID is suppression.

Rights are even created to further the leftist agenda. Health care, banning opposition speech, free college education, birth control, and destructive civil disobedience have all been claimed to be “rights”. Meanwhile, our basic right to free speech has been deemed valid only for leftist views and all else is considered “hate speech”.

Rational debate has been replaced with hateful and personal attacks making it impossible to move forward or find compromise on issues. Washington has become ineffective because of categorical resistance from Democrats toward president Trump and his administration. False accusations and continuous calls for investigations keep elected officials from governing and hate is openly expressed toward the president.

This is a mess and people are finally getting tired of it. The country is suffering and the Left is losing respect, credibility, and relevance but they continue to ignore their self-inflicted demise. It needs to stop.

Treason? Really?

July 11, 2017

Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary’s running mate in her losing campaign, actually said that Donald Trump Jr. may have committed treason by meeting with a Russian lawyer. Kaine is a windbag of foolish hyperbole and this is a perfect example of the ignorant rhetoric being spewed from the left.

First of all, Donald Trump Jr. was a private citizen at the time, not a government employee, who met with a “lawyer”, not a Russian “government official”, and all involved said nothing came from that meeting. There were no secrets or documents bandied about and there are no allegations of any type of agreements being made during that meeting.

Secondly, attempting to get dirt on Hillary is not a crime, a misdemeanor, or anything of the sort. It is just common campaign activity that Hillary and Bill (and Kaine) certainly know about. According to a Politico investigation, Ukrainian government officials were passing documents to Hillary’s campaign in an attempt to help undermine Trump’s campaign. Where is the outrage?

Thirdly, treason is a high crime and it is very rare for someone to be convicted of treason. The last person to be convicted of treason was Tomoya Kawakita, a Japanese-American sentenced to death in 1952 for tormenting American prisoners. Treason is much too serious of an offense to be thrown around indiscriminately for political purposes.

If Tim Kaine wants to accuse someone of treason, perhaps he should look to Jane Fonda. Her actions in Hanoi in 1972 during the Vietnam War fell within the parameters of being treasonous. Henry Mark Holzer’s book, “Aid and Comfort”, is a detailed study of Fonda’s actions and it clearly shows that a case for treason could be made against her.

Had Jane been a Republican or a conservative instead of a far-left liberal, it is easily conceivable that she would have been charged and convicted of treason, spending the rest of her life in prison instead of making millions and being treated as an American icon.

Tim Kaine should put at least one foot in reality. He can keep the other one is in his mouth.

Democrat Denial

June 21, 2017

The Democrat Party is in disarray because they are mired in denial. Grieving from the trauma of Trump’s election, they are wallowing in anger and refusing acceptance. In order to preserve their fictional world of a mainstream liberal progressive agenda, they are blaming everything and everyone but themselves for continuing failure.

Obama’s election and re-election tricked the far left into believing their agenda was fully accepted so they began using bully tactics to force progressive social changes on society. To appease far left voters the Democrat Party shifted further left focusing on progressive social issues and echoing insults of Middle America’s core values. The result was the election of Donald Trump.

Instead of correcting mistakes and trying to reconnect with the American people after the presidential election, Democrats chose an arrogant path of resistance and denial. There has been very little, if any, willingness to accept responsibility for failure. They are placing blame everywhere but within their own party.

Hillary made a fool of herself re-appearing after her defeat blaming James Comey, Russian conspiracies, the DNC, Facebook, misogyny, fake news and voter suppression – everything but her own inadequacies and failing agenda. Her campaign consisted of “making history” rather than making sense while Trump addressed real issues concerning most citizens.

The media, after losing all credibility by being blatantly biased, is also in denial and continues to make excuses for Democrat failure. Rachel Maddow quickly tried to claim that bad weather was responsible for Democrat Jon Ossoff’s loss in the recent Georgia special election. Others are suggesting that he failed to attack president Trump viciously enough as if that is a winning strategy.

Democrats’ response to losing has been a doubling down on attacking Trump and blocking everything his administration attempts. They still believe their agenda is totally acceptable to mainstream America and needs no change. Until they get their heads out of the sand they will continue to lose and, unfortunately, they will continue to drag the country down.

The Fix Is In – Transformation Complete

July 6, 2016

Looking as comfortable as a hostage reading an ISIS manifesto, F.B.I. director James B. Comey let Hillary off the legal hook for “extreme carelessness”, aka “gross negligence”, in her handling of confidential and secret e-mails. Also like a hostage, Comey tried to blink the message that Hillary is guilty and has been lying and obstructing justice right from the beginning of this fiasco. That, however, is too “nuanced” for true believers to see, so Hillary is now free to complete the “transformation” started by Obama.

If American voters are willing to accept this insult to their intelligence in order to “make history” by electing Hillary president, they will then deserve the consequences. Obama set the precedent of ignoring and changing the law from the White House and it has now become standard procedure throughout his administration. If elected, Hillary will cast that precedent in concrete and there will be no turning back.

Comey lamely gave lack of “intent” to do harm as an excuse but that is not the law. It certainly wasn’t the law in 2015 when Naval Reservist Brian Nishimura was sentenced to two years of probation and a $7,500 fine for a very similar incident. In that case, the FBI also determined that Nishimura did not “intend” to distribute classified information to unauthorized personnel, but Nishimura was not a player in the “transformation” so he had to pay.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch set the stage (and possibly wrote the script) for this pathetic play just a few days earlier after being caught having a “secret” meeting with former president Bill Clinton. She then tried to clear the mucky air by saying she would accept whatever recommendations the FBI offered, forcing Comey to do the dirty job for her. Somewhere, former USSR officials are smiling knowingly at the charade.

If this doesn’t wake up American citizens nothing will, and the country is lost.

Obama is Endangering the Country

February 9, 2016

Individuals with connections to terrorist organizations have been apprehended crossing our southern border, illegal immigrants are being used by drug cartels as conduits for heroin, children are dying at the hands of human traffickers, and dangerous criminals are crossing into the United States. Obama’s response is to double down on his open border policy.

The Obama administration has just re-instated a ‘catch-and-release” policy ordering border agents to stop arresting and deporting many new illegal immigrants. Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, said instead of cracking down, the administration issued this order to avoid further embarrassment over the number of illegals not showing up for deportation hearings. Testifying before a House Judiciary Committee, Judd said that “Immigration laws today appear to be mere suggestions” and “that fact is well known in other countries.”

Drug cartels are flooding the border with illegal immigrants carrying heroin into the country, increasing supply and lowering cost. Deaths from heroin-related overdoses nearly quadrupled between 2002 and 2013 and Obama’s border policy is dangerously escalating the heroin epidemic sweeping throughout the country.

It is not just Obama’s immigration policies that are dangerous. He has succeeded in shifting the focus of our Armed Forces onto climate change, a nebulous threat he believes is more dire and imminent than ISIS and other terrorists. His desperate agreement (appeasement?) with Iran has resulted in the return of billions of dollars of frozen assets to Iran that will finance a continued quest for nuclear weapons. He has insulted allies and lowered respect for the US around the world.

On the home front during his administration, racial tensions increased; economic growth stalled; government spending and debt escalated; health care insurance became a quagmire; and the country became further divided. He seems oblivious to it all as he continues to “transform America” according to his personal vision, a vision born from radical propaganda he was subjected to in his youth.

The danger is real, the damage is real, and the denial is real. The “dream” is not. Vote wisely.

‘Free’ Bernie Sanders

February 2, 2016

It is not surprising that aging Hillary Clinton is having trouble getting the youth vote but young Democrat voters overwhelmingly supporting the even more aging Bernie Sanders has surprised many. However, when you consider what Bernie stands for, the reasons become obvious.

Bernie Sanders is strongly pushing for a “free” college education. That is, of course, attractive to anyone facing the rising cost of a college education and the ensuing burden of a student loan. It certainly speaks to today’s youth who have been thoroughly indoctrinated by a liberal education system advocating the socialistic ideal of cradle-to-grave government care. How we are to pay for that “free” education is not clear but it is also not relevant to those wanting and expecting freebies.

Sanders calls himself a “democratic socialist” but that distinction is not understood by most and it is certainly lost on today’s youth. The failure of our education system is responsible for the lack of knowledge concerning socialism’s failure throughout history and, consequently, today’s youth are gravitating towards socialism’s vacuous promise of a utopian society. The “Occupy” movement and unrealistic demands heard on college campuses are a product of this ignorance of socialism.

Sanders takes advantage of this ignorance with his socialistic promises of a “free” college education, guaranteed health care, and $15 an hour minimum wage – in other words, freebies. He demonizes corporations and the rich and rails against income inequality, an easy sell to young workers starting at low salaries. His 90% tax rate for the rich sounds fine to those far from the top but it is not enough and the middle class will have to reach further into their pockets to help pay for all the “free” stuff.

At the age of 74, Bernie Sanders is not considered too old for Democrats who expressed concern about John McCain’s age (71) in 2008 and Ronald Reagan’s age (69) in 1980. JFK was 43–yrs-old when he took office and Obama, 47-years-old in 2008, was touted as a youthful and energetic change much needed for the country. Meanwhile, Democrats accuse Marco Rubio (44) and Ted Cruz (45) of being much too young to be president.

What is most certainly getting old is the hypocrisy – along with Sanders (74) and Hillary (68).

A Bumpy Cruz to NY

January 15, 2016

Forget ISIS, unemployment, Obamacare, disastrous foreign policies, runaway illegal immigration, executive orders, Hillary scandals, Iran’s nuclear program, and even Donald Trump. The New York Daily News is in an uproar over Ted Cruz dissing New York during the Republican debate, declaring on its front page: “Drop Dead, Ted”. There goes Obama’s plea for political civility.

Cruz disparagingly accused Trump of having “New York values” which he defined: “…in New York City are socially liberal, are pro-abortion, are pro-gay-marriage, focused around money and the media”. These are the values behind NY Mayor DeBlasio’s attempt to ban large sodas and president Obama’s attempts to “transform America” according to his personal views – and they are the values known to be held by a majority in NY City.

Conservatives not from NY get it and understand what Cruz was saying. Those from NY City, both liberal and conservative, take it as a personal insult because many New Yorkers have the parochial view that the world revolves around NY City and everything outside the city limits is unsophisticated and crude. Consequently, saying anything negative about NY City or its residents may be the only thing that can bring New Yorkers from both sides of the aisle together in agreement – at least for a day or two.

Talking heads on FOX News, MSNBC, and all those in between are taking umbrage at Ted’s “insult”. Iran’s insult of capturing, handcuffing, then releasing 10 American sailors did not produce as much across-the-board outrage. In fact, Kerry and Obama praised Iran’s “diplomacy” over that incident in their continuing and embarrassing appeasement of Iran. One can image, then, their chagrin over Ted’s comments.

This is how far we have “progressed” under the political tutelage of the left-leaning media and the Obama administration. We may have “progressed” too far to turn back but the coming presidential election is the best shot to try to do so. Please vote – and vote wisely.

Obama Failures Piling Up

December 11, 2015

Obama’s failed foreign policies have become widely acknowledged, especially with regard to the Middle East and ISIS. Recent attacks in Paris and the U.S. have made a mockery of his disregard of terrorist threats and his refusal to name the enemy. However, this is but one area where he has failed and we must not forget his other failures piling up.

According to Forbes, “Obamacare’s coverage expansion fell between 6 and 12 million short of expectations, while driving the growth of health spending to its highest rate in 7 years”. UnitedHealth Group has lost hundreds of millions of dollars from offering coverage on the Obamacare exchanges and is considering pulling out. The CBO says Obamacare will cause the loss of 2 million jobs over the next decade, shrinking the workforce by approximately 1%. Due to the high cost of health coverage, 32 million people remain uninsured. This is a failure by anyone’s standards.

Although there has been a slight increase in jobs, many people have stopped looking for employment and far too many can only find part-time employment. The numbers, therefore, are skewed and the 5% unemployment rate is misleading since 94.7 million working age Americans (29% of the population) are considered not in the labor force. Meanwhile, the national debt continues to rise.

Our border remains dangerously unsecured and the influx of illegals is sucking up government funds. Obama released terrorists from GITMO who return to the battlefield. His refusal to compromise has increased partisanship in an already partisan Congress. Racial unrest is increasing and his “Leading from behind” has become a joke, leaving our country leaderless and no longer trusted throughout the world. His focus on climate change (aka global warming), which he calls our biggest threat, has produced nothing and his rhetorical nuclear agreement with Iran is being ignored as Iran continues its nuclear weapons pursuit with impunity.

In the face of all these failures and more, Obama remains arrogantly aloof, out of touch, and fumblingly non-reactive. Democrats have blindly backed Obama through all of this and must be held accountable. One can only hope we can survive another year before voting for a change – and we must vote for a change.

CNBC vs GOP

October 30, 2015

The recent Republican debate conducted by CNBC turned into a battle between the candidates and the biased moderators. The candidates won handily, in more ways than one.

It was established from the beginning, after Ted Cruz forcefully chastised moderators for bias, that the candidates were not going to succumb to gotcha questions or start foolish squabbling among themselves. There seemed to be a concerted effort on their part to keep the debate about issues and differences between the parties, particularly, differences with Hillary.

The moderators, on the other hand, had an agenda to embarrass the candidates, start arguments between them, and try to trip them up. Some questions were pertinent but many were hostile towards the candidates, displaying a disdain for Republicans that permeates CNBC.

After hearing much liberal media babble (wishful thinking?) about the GOP falling apart with infighting, lack of alternative solutions, and poor qualifications, the candidates displayed a unity not seen in prior debates. Serious problems facing the nation were defined and though plans presented to address those problems were different in details, they were cut from the same cloth: Government is too big, spending is out-of-control, taxes are too high, and the middle class needs a break – not more government interference.

Perhaps it was only having a common enemy, the CNBC moderators, that forced the candidates to circle the wagons, but they seemed to do just that. When Huckabee was baited with a question meant to urge him to attack Trump, he put on a show of solidarity by complimenting him instead. Chris Christie jumped onto the bandwagon by taking the moderators to task over a foolish question about fantasy football. Even Ben Carson got in a few licks that elicited applause from an audience aware of the bias.

It is often difficult to establish who really won a debate but the GOP clearly won this one. CNBC may have had good ratings for airing this debate, but it proved why its otherwise dismal ratings are warranted. Perhaps other networks will learn from this and allow a debate to be about the candidates. That would make us all winners.

The Worst of Obama

October 3, 2015

The Oregon school shooting brought out the worst of president Obama. Once again, he let his emotions and political agenda override what should have been a presidential demeanor and compassion in time of tragedy. Instead, he wallowed in self-righteousness and lectured America during a press conference, ignorantly urging more politics over reasonable debate.

Before facts concerning the shooting were known, Obama quickly determined that guns were responsible and began inflaming the gun controversy just as he has inflamed racism at every opportunity. He knows exactly what he is doing because politics is the only tool in his toolbox and it is his answer for everything.

He urged everyone to follow his foolish lead and turn this shooting into a political issue, as if the media hadn’t already done so. Going even further, he advocated everyone become a one-issue voter and use his agenda on gun control as a sole basis for voting. One-issue voting, of course, neglects addressing the many failures of his administration (and the Democratic Party), something Obama has become expert at doing. It is a fatuous way to vote that should be discouraged.

And what, exactly, is Obama’s agenda on gun control? In his press conference, he revealed his agenda when he praised “countries like ours”, Australia and Great Britain, which “have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings”. They have confiscated guns in those countries; countries which are not “like ours” in that we have over 350 million guns in circulation. If it is “impossible” to round up and deport 10 million illegal immigrants, how do we confiscate 350 million guns?

Trying to further his point, Obama urged news organizations to compare gun deaths with deaths from terrorists in the country, an apples-to-oranges comparison. He could also compare gun deaths (approx. 30 per day) with drug deaths (approx. 120 per day), but that would highlight the senseless “progressive” push to legalize marijuana and other drugs – a political football he’d rather not toss around.

Having to go through another year of Obama’s brand of “leadership” is depressing enough. The thought of replacing him with a policy clone brings nightmares. We can do better, and we must.
