Bully Puppets

February 15, 2017

Many liberal progressives have adopted bullying as their main political tactic and have become little more than puppets echoing talking points and false premises fed to them by the aggressive far-left agenda. They are oblivious to hypocrisy, irony, and reality as they allow themselves to be emotionally manipulated.

Very few can cogently explain the reasons behind their vehement protesting. Instead, many offer bumper sticker sentiments and senseless platitudes that do little more than roil their emotions. False facts, incredulous exaggerations, and calamitous projections are being used as the basis for protests that are becoming violent in nature.

Bullying, a serious concern sweeping the nation in recent years, has become a normal and advocated tactic for the far-left. Those expressing any approval whatsoever of president Trump or his administration have become targets for bullying or worse and it is treated as a proper and courageous response against all opposition. The irony, of course, is lost on the self-righteous perpetrators who are blinded by emotional turmoil.

In a very sheep-like manner, protesters are being driven into the streets over issues and concerns that they have been falsely led to believe jeopardize their very existence. This develops a sense of fear and urgency that common sense or rationality cannot penetrate. As a result, many of these protesters engage in mob behavior that brings destruction and violence.

The media cannot control its bias so they treat these “bully puppets” as simple grassroot protesters and make sure every celebrity’s political ranting is given extensive coverage. Boycotts, further attempts at bullying, are being called for against individuals, small businesses, and large corporations unwilling to join the frenzied tirade against Trump. Colleges are allowing, and often advocating, students to ban opposing views from campus and bully those who do not express hatred of Trump.

This disgusting behavior comes from those demanding inclusiveness while hypocritically labeling the silent (and peaceful) majority that elected Trump as Fascists, Nazis, sexists, racists, haters and misogynists. It is getting dangerously out-of-hand and there is little hope for a united society if these bully puppets continue raging.

Black Lies Matter

November 12, 2015

Regardless of one’s opinion concerning the Black Lives Matter movement, disgraceful actions taken by members taints the entire movement and elicits scorn rather than respect. The movement’s intended message has been totally lost in a sea of ignorant acts.

The trampling and burning of the American flag outside the Republican debates is the latest example of such acts coming from movement members. Adding to their ignorance, some BLM protesters circulated rumors that police deployed tear gas on them when, in fact, the police were only using a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. Black lies matter, too, and they certainly don’t help credibility.

These acts cannot be passed off as exuberance or mere exaggeration on the part of the protesters. They come from a misguided hatred of the country instilled by lies and distortions from so-called “leaders” using victimization as a tool to advance their personal agenda. This victimization has been kept alive over the years by shifting blame from slavery to “whitey” to the government to the police and to the entire county. It now drives the BLM movement and valid complaints have been lost in the hatred.

This movement has tacitly and often vocally encouraged the killing of police officers and that encouragement has resulted in the murder of several police officers, the same officers who put their lives on the line to protect the community where the protesters live. They also protect the right of protesters to protest but that doesn’t “matter”.

The level this has reached is astounding and the consequences are frightening. Yet, it continues with no regard or respect for anything outside the narrow point-of-view dictated by “leaders”. Anyone daring to state the obvious, that all lives matter, is labeled a racist as is anyone who does not blindly follow the “leader”.

This is part of the far-left’s “transformation of America” and it has turned into the desecration of America, but maybe that was the intention all along. America-bashing has always been a favorite far-left pastime and, unfortunately, it is has now become part of the BLM movement.

Underlying Cause

April 30, 2015

The death of Freddie Grey did not cause looting and burning in Baltimore any more than the death of Michael Brown caused looting and burning in Ferguson. Years of excusing such destructive rage caused it to become an acceptable and commonplace inner-city response to almost any offense.

Consequences for rioting have typically been government rebuilding funds and increases in community assistance – along with much media attention. Thus, rioting has basically been rewarded, not punished, and the free-for-all looting involved has enticed nefarious opportunists to actively inflame situations to create more rioting. It has become an industry.

For years the black community has been taught that they are victims and, as such, bear no personal responsibility. Blame for all ills has been placed on racism, slavery, Republicans, corruption, and white privilege – everything but personal behavior. Progressive liberals, aided by race hustlers, have convinced all too many in the black community that they are entitled victims unable to fend for themselves and it has been insulting and debilitating.

Racism exists (and most probably always will) and there are racist police officers who have committed atrocities, but it is not systematic any more than gunning down white police officers is systematic in the black community. Individuals in police departments and all communities are responsible for their actions and all need to understand this and be held accountable. Across-the-board indictments are inflammatory, non-productive, and ignorant.

Martin Luther King proved that peaceful protests work and he made enormous strides doing so, but that lesson is being turned to ashes in the riotous fires in cities such as Baltimore and Ferguson. Protests bring national attention that can produce positive results. Rioting brings attention but it also brings needless destruction, animosity, and more racial tension.

The focus continues to be on police transgressions, but until the black community seriously addresses lack of personal responsibility, race relations will continue to deteriorate, race hustlers will continue to exploit, liberals will continue to victimize, and inner cities will continue to burn. This is not a political or racial issue; it is a human issue.

Stupid Racial Agenda

December 30, 2014

By making race monger Al Sharpton his go-to guy, president Obama has encouraged racial hostilities in the country. His recent claim that race relations are better now than when he took office is just more self-serving rhetoric having no basis in reality. The stupidity of Obama, de Blasio, and other so-called “leaders” aligning with Sharpton has produced a top-down, anti-police atmosphere resulting in two policemen being executed in NY City.

The police in NY City feel abandoned by Mayor de Blasio and now face an increasingly hostile black community. The danger facing policeman in NY City has always been high but de Blasio’s foolish actions have made it worse and the police are responding in ways that will put us all in danger.

Concerned for their personal safety and feeling under attack from the community and the government, police in the city are turning a blind eye to minor crimes. Delayed response times and lack of summonses have resulted from de Blasio’s foolishness and morale is at an all-time low in the police force. One can expect crime to increase in NY City as it becomes obvious to all that police response has eroded.

The execution style killing of the two police officers in NY City has been mimicked in a thwarted attempt in North Carolina and can be expected to occur in other cities across the country. Every police shooting is now being protested as police brutality regardless of the circumstances and it is only a matter of time before other police departments begin to delay response times or not respond at all.

Our only line of defense against runaway crime and chaos in the streets has been compromised by a stupid racial agenda encouraged by Obama. Leadership from the White House on many issues has become non-existent but this goes beyond lack of leadership. This agenda seems to sanction rioting, violence, and racial unrest – and it is dangerous.

Defending the Undefendable

November 27, 2014

Darlena Cunha’s column in Time magazine is an example of why our society is fractured and may be on the verge of collapse. When criminal behavior is defended, the law ignored, and rationality replaced by emotions, there is little hope for a better future.

Cunha seriously tries to tell us that: “Riots are a necessary part of the evolution of society…Peaceful protesting is a luxury only available to those safely in mainstream culture…violent protests are part of the American experience”. This is much more than simply liberal appeasement; it is an unrealistic agenda gone horribly wrong.

Riots are an example of the devolution of society, not evolution. Peaceful protest is the intelligent and civil way for citizens to express their displeasure and change should occur by going through the system not by violently tearing it down. It is not a “luxury” for the mainstream culture, it is a necessity for having a civilized culture.

Martin Luther King achieved much, much more through peaceful demonstration than any rioter has or ever will. Ignoring his example and burning down one’s own community in anger is a huge step backward and defending such actions is despicable. The type of rationalization shown by Cunha encourages more violence and a disregard for law and order. Unfortunately, she is not the only one so sadly misguided.

In speeches after the Ferguson Grand Jury’s decision, President Obama sympathized with rioters rather than vehemently calling them to task. Furthermore, he tacitly chastised law enforcement, the legal process, and the decision without urging (and certainly not praising) any acceptance of the evidence or the validity of the system. He made it clear he disagreed with the verdict and assured that the federal government would continue investigating. This show of “leadership” from Obama dovetails with Cunha’s twisted logic and encourages further unrest.

Cunha also tries to say that riots in black communities are “true only when the riots are politically aimed” as if that somehow justifies them. However, there have been violent riots after basketball games in both black and white communities and rationalizing riots as she does can only encourage more. Riots are part of America’s “past” experience and we should do all we can to keep them in the past instead of accepting them as part of the “American experience”.

Shame on Time magazine for this insidious rationalization.

Ferguson, Obama, and “Your” Laws

November 24, 2014

Consequences of President Obama’s top-down attitudes on racism and the rule of law are evident in Ferguson where protestors are ignorantly shoutingwe don’t give a f**k about your laws”. That pretty much mirrors what the American public has been hearing from the White House.

Obama’s knee-jerk reactions to racially sensitive issues set a tone for the black community that has resulted in increased racial tensions in the country. Expectations of a “post-racial” era were dashed early in Obama’s first term when he took a hasty anti-police stance in the Harvard Professor Gates incident. His racial knee jerked again in the Trayvon Martin incident and sending Holder to Ferguson provided a presidential stamp of approval for turning Michael Brown’s death into a racial schism.

His disregard for the law has been on display with his willingness to ignore, skirt, and re-define immigration laws and his back-room negotiations have underscored his scorn for the “transparency” he once promised. Using executive orders to get his way shows how he feels about “your” laws, the same laws protesters “don’t give a f**k about”.

The use of “your laws” by the protesters exemplifies the disassociation and disrespect Obama displayed for this country and its laws with his “apology tour”. Once he solidified and legitimized that attitude, it was adopted by many admirers in the black community and it now fuels the Ferguson fiasco.

Disregard for the law from the top cannot help but have dire consequences. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen the last of those consequences.

Where Are the Riots?

August 21, 2014

Where are the riots? Where is the outcry for justice? Where is the demand for action? Where are the protests? Where is our leadership?

ISIS, a savage terrorist group, beheaded an American citizen, James Foley, who was captured and held in captivity for two years. ISIS proudly put a video of the decapitation on YouTube for the world to see, stating that the murder was in retaliation for U.S. airstrikes against them in Iraq. Previously, they demanded a ransom for Foley’s release but that was refused by the U.S. They are now threatening to kill three other captured U.S. citizens.

Capturing and murdering American citizens is an act of war and an unambiguous and brazen declaration of war against the U.S. It is not a “crime” to be investigated by Holder’s Justice Department. Have we become so politically correct and impotent that we will hide behind an “investigation” rather than act firmly and immediately? Are we “transformed” to the point of allowing our citizens to be brutally murdered with impunity?

European countries have been paying ransoms to terrorists for captured citizens because they lack the military means and fortitude to do anything else. They have decimated their militaries by diverting defense spending to government assistance programs. Obviously, these ransoms have not deterred terrorism; they have just emboldened the terrorists and proven the weakness of those paying the ransom.

President Obama prematurely removed all of our troops from Iraq. It was a mistake and the rise and growth of ISIS is the result. This is not a small band of rag-tag terrorists. It is an army viciously taking over an entire country and openly declaring war on the U.S. Our foolishly open southern border, another Obama mistake, will not be ignored by these terrorists who are intent on killing Americans on American soil.

Will Obama show leadership, admit mistakes, and take firm and proper action? Will citizens rise up in protest and march in the streets (ala Ferguson) if he doesn’t? To quote vice president Biden, “This is big f**king deal”, and the answers will determine our future.

Holder Stirs the Racial Pot

August 20, 2014

Attorney General Eric Holder has made it known he believes racism is the reason for criticism of himself and president Obama. He refused to press charges against the Black Panthers for voter intimidation during the 2008 elections despite overwhelming evidence against them. He has plotted with president Obama and Al Sharpton to find ways to combat state voter identification laws, deeming them to be racist. His department’s Community Relations Service helped organize protests in the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, inflaming racial tensions.

Now, Eric Holder, along with his Community Relations Service, is going to Ferguson, Missouri to…well…it’s not really clear why. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are already there making sure this fiasco remains a race issue and the police officer remains guilty regardless of facts. Holder’s presence will only re-enforce that. No one believes he is going there to ensure the accused’s rights are upheld.

Ferguson is another example of top-down attitudes from this administration infecting the nation. Racism has been inflamed and kept in the forefront by president Obama and Eric Holder making it no surprise that the black community becomes inflamed at every opportunity. Obama’s attitudes toward social injustice, economic disparity, and America’s atrocities and “unfairness” have also seeped into society creating divisiveness, class warfare, and anger – all for political purposes and his personal agenda.

The incident in Ferguson has become a purely racial issue and will remain so throughout the trial that Holder, Sharpton, and Jackson are there to ensure will occur. Any facts that may not substantiate a trial or possibly indicate the officer acted properly will be labeled as a racist police cover-up. If such facts are not kept hidden, further rioting will occur until they no longer matter.

This is where we are today and Obama and his administration is at the very least partially responsible. We were once on the path to racial healing. Now we are in a “post-racial era” with wounds being rubbed raw once again. This is called progress.

Here We Go Again

August 12, 2014

Ferguson, Missouri experienced looting and rioting after a young, unarmed black man was shot multiple times and killed by a police officer. It does not look good for the police officer at this time, but an investigation had barely begun when incensed locals (and many from out of town) decided the best way to deal with this was by looting and rioting. They are sure of what happened but if wrong, at least they will get some free stuff.

A free TV, free food, free cash from a busted ATM, or just the fun of burning down a local store and a few parked cars is the going rate of exchange for inner city rage (and sometimes for the celebration of a sports team championship). It doesn’t matter whose store is looted, or whose car is burned. In fact, it is the local community, the same community that is outraged, that will experience destruction.

Some in Ferguson are recognizing the stupidity of wrecking one’s own neighborhood, sending out on Twitter that the rioting needed to be done in white neighborhoods. Blaming all white people for the actions of one individual is not considered racist because racism, along with most looting, is a one-way street in today’s society. Some even believe that a black person cannot be racist but that is ignorantly wrong – and is a racist remark.

When a white policeman is gunned down in cold blood it never results in rioting and looting. In fact, the killing of a policeman is often celebrated in song with protests demanding the killer be set free – which brings us to Al Sharpton, now on his way to Ferguson.

Al Sharpton (appearing wherever there are cameras) was the spark that lit the fire in the Crown Heights riots of 1991 and the Freddy’s Fashion Mart massacre in 1995 – after making a fool of himself in the 1987 Tawana Brawley fiasco (which he still won’t admit was a hoax). Is there any reason to believe Sharpton will be a calming influence and bring civilized behavior back to Ferguson?

Welcome to post-racial America.
