Labels Matter

June 18, 2016

Obama scoffed at critics wanting to know why he will not use the label “radical Islamists” when speaking about terrorism. In a speech filled with ridicule, a standard leftist tactic, Obama asked: “…what exactly using this label would accomplish and what will it change”? This is as disingenuous as it is hypocritical.

What about illegal immigrants labeled as “undocumented workers”? How about “pro-choice” for killing the unborn? What about the “war on women” that is no war? How about the “Party of no” for the GOP? What about the “Affordable Care Act” that continues to increase rather than decrease health care costs? What about the most-used label of all, “racist”, for anyone who disagrees?

Obama and liberal progressives constantly use labels that accomplish masking reality and making an unrealistic agenda more palatable to the masses. Let’s not forget that Obama, who ran for office under the label “The One”, infamously labeled ISIS as the “JV team”. He has even used the vulgar label “tea baggers” in reference to the Tea Party.

It is necessary to identify an enemy in order to defeat it and Obama’s refusal to acknowledge radical Islamists as the enemy has his entire administration and the military concentrating on being politically correct and not offending anyone. The Homeland Security Advisory Council just released a report instructing the DHS not to use any language that might be “disrespectful” to Muslims, including (but not limited to) the words “jihad” and “sharia”, so it seems that labels DO matter as long as they advance the Obama agenda.

Because supporters have labeled him “supremely intelligent”, president Obama arrogantly spews whatever he wishes, expecting everyone to accept his spin as gospel. He has been pissing in our ears and telling us it’s raining for almost eight years, using sarcasm and ridicule to dismiss criticism. As a result, our enemy has been encouraged to escalate its war against us while our efforts have been spent trying not to offend them.

That deserves to be labeled “failure”.

Myth-Making Media

October 26, 2015

Most media myths are agenda driven from the left and deliberately disseminated to mold public opinion. As a result, many people now believe, for example, that 10 to 25% of the population is homosexual, man-made global warming is a “settled” scientific fact, comprehensive immigration reform means amnesty, decriminalizing marijuana means legalizing it, and there is a war raging against women – all myths encouraged by the media. Some myths have seeped into our education system and are being presented as fact.

Even our president’s election was aided by a media myth. The media assured all, over and over again, of Obama’s “superior intelligence” while little was offered concerning his background or experience. Even after seven years in office absent any definitive display of this “superior intelligence”, the myth continues and has noticeably inflated Obama’s ego.

Although it is increasingly becoming recognized that the media no longer concerns itself with journalistic integrity, media myths remain circulating unquestioned by believers. Their influence is a major contributing factor to the widening rift in society and the political polarization in Washington – and they are dangerous.

Currently, the liberal media backs the myth that there is institutionalized racism permeating throughout our entire nation’s police force. This is fomenting wholesale rebellion against the police to the point where police officers are being murdered. Even EMTs and fire fighters are coming under attack as angry protests are evolving into outright anarchy.

The media needs to be held accountable but that presents a dilemma. In the past, we relied on the media to uncover and report lies, thereby, forcing change for the better. When the media is the perpetrator, who do we turn to? It is left up to all of us to take a stand. We need to stop supporting those in the media responsible and demand it be stopped.

Brainwashed Voters

May 20, 2015

GOP presidential candidates are being peppered by the media with confrontational questions concerning political positions along with meaningless hypothetical questions about going to war in Iraq. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton, awash in controversy and scandal, refuses to answer questions and dismisses all allegations as “distractions”.

The media is conditioning voters by demonizing Republicans and keeping Hillary untouchable. It is pathetic but, unfortunately, it will probably work. Far too many voters are totally ignorant of candidates and the issues – and brainwashed by the media.

It is now coming to light that Hillary and her lawyers have been lying about her emails and we now know she lied about Benghazi when she blamed a video for that attack. Refusing to answer questions about the “Clinton Cash” scandal has kept her from lying about that, too, but she will eventually have to address it and the lies will come.

She is not answering questions from reporters about these controversies and the media just accepts her silence. The State Department even tried to help her by holding back the release of her emails until January, 2016 which is, conveniently, after the presidential election. A U.S. District Court, however, rejected the idea and is demanding those e-mails be released on a “rolling production” basis. We’ll see if that happens, but don’t hold your breath.

Voters have been brainwashed to believe Hillary is an experienced and highly qualified candidate but she has very few accomplishments. For many voters, just being a woman is qualification enough and Hillary is focused on that. “Making history” is a constant undercurrent in her campaign as she exploits the “war on women” myth, tugging at feminist emotions.

Scandals and lies don’t seem to stand a chance against a biased media or the unconditional love many have for Hillary and her progressive agenda. Obama was kept afloat by it and Hillary seems destined to ride the same wave into the White House. One may hope that will not be the case, but media brainwashing is a tough nut to crack and if the Dems do tire of covering for her, Biden is waiting in the wings – just when you thought it couldn’t get worse.

Hillary Street Blues

April 13, 2015

There was no “news” in Hillary’s announcement to run for president; though the media treated it is as news. It was a foregone conclusion that everyone knew was coming but her announcement may have caused more gloom than jubilance, even for some Democrats.

In the 1993 documentary “War Room”, James Carville sarcastically assessed George Bush as having “the stench of yesterday”. Hillary, one year older and with as much time on the political scene as Bush had at the time, seems to exude that stench along with the stench of scandal. She comes to this presidential race with lots of smelly baggage.

If Hillary was more personable, like Bill, and had accomplishments she could point to, she would probably be a shoe-in. However, she is not and she has accomplished very little, especially while Secretary of State, the job she took to qualify her for president. Instead, she failed with her “reset” with Russia, displayed a lack of critical decision making with Benghazi, and spent too much time distancing herself from Obama by traveling around the world like an uninvited ambassador – accomplishing nothing.

Her latest scandal, the e-mail fiasco, emphasizes her overwhelming propensity for secrecy and her dictatorial management technique. Her lame excuses mirror the excuses she used in White Water, another scandal displaying arrogance and assumed privilege.

Asking voters to once again “make history” by electing a woman president reeks of the false “war on women” meme and it plays to voter’s emotions rather than sensibilities. Her past vicious attacks on the women who accused Bill of sexual misconduct show that she is more than willing to wage her own war on women when it suits her needs.

Considering all this along with Hillary’s adversarial relationship with the media and anti-Hillary tweets going viral after her announcement, her campaign should be a series-ending episode of “Hillary Street Blues” where she fades away forever. The American public, however, is too easily persuaded by the media, so, once again, the media will be the determining factor. Sad, but true.

Liberal Privilege

March 23, 2015

Over at The Blaze, Matt Walsh speaks plainly and truthfully about society’s granting of privilege to liberal women. It is something most recognize but rarely speak out about for fear of the angry and vicious backlash suffered by Mr. Walsh when he dared speak against rapper Azealia Banks’ ignorant and racist diatribe against white people.

From Matt Walsh at The Blaze

In her (Azealia Banks) Playboy interview/stripping session, she spoke proudly of her hatred for white conservative men, white teenage girls, white farmers, white Middle Americans, and anything else created by or associated with white people…I wrote a piece to retort Banks and to point out her hypocrisies and prejudices…Banks took to Twitter to send me and another conservative, Wayne Dupree, a close up photo of her genitals…followed up with a lewd Tweet to my wife…All of this was applauded by her legions of young, progressive fans…I was repeatedly informed that I am the sexist, the racist, and the bigot…for me to criticize her for sending nude photos…

…the reaction would be slightly different if a white conservative male — say, a country star or something — said in an interview that he hated black Americans, then sent an unsolicited picture of his penis to a black female blogger…The double standard is so bad that it isn’t a double standard at all. For progressives — particularly women, particularly minority women — there is simply no standard to speak of…If you are progressive, and especially a woman, and especially a minority woman, you can lash out in whatever manner you like, launching whatever attacks you like, against whatever group you like, provided the victims aren’t homosexuals or liberal black people…

It’s important to underscore, however, that it’s only liberal women and minorities who wield this incredible privilege. Non-liberals in those groups have the least leeway out of everyone, and can be attacked more viciously than anyone…Liberals, particularly liberal women, are operating in a void without any standards of basic decency. They know society will allow them to say or do whatever…rules don’t apply to liberals, and even less to liberal women, and even less to liberal minority women…

Deaf, Dumb, and Blind

November 7, 2014

Deaf, dumb, and blind ideologues have not been swayed in the least by election results and are out spinning like spiders on steroids. President Obama, who told us his policies were on the ballot, totally ignored that in his voter-defying speech, thus, beginning the current spin cycle.

Nancy Pelosi, the epitome of deaf, dumb and blind, wants to remain as minority leader in the House and is trying to convince everyone that election results had nothing to do with her at all. Her spin is that the results were due to poor voter participation, even insinuating that voting obstacles (voter ID?) were the main culprit.

Pelosi’s blind adherence to Obama’s agenda puts her very near the top of a list of reasons for Democrats’ demise. She has been deaf to the public’s wishes for quite some time and the mentioning of a “non-partisan challenge” in her letter to Democrats is surreal coming from her. It would be wise to put her out to pasture but Democrats may be on enough of a self-destructive path to keep her.

Even after acknowledging that Harry Reid was one of the reasons for election losses, most Democrats remaining in the Senate (speaking of self-destruction) want him as minority leader. Reid, who personally blocked everything coming from the House, now says he looks forward to working together with Mitch McConnell, but not working together is a main reason for Democrats losing the Senate.

The always irrational Daily KOS is worriedwe won’t be able to flex our muscles as the true American majority” for the next two years and inferred that the election losses came because the president “s**ts on immigrants”. One is hard-pressed to see how a totally open border, suspending immigration laws, and promising amnesty for illegals could be seen that way. Then, again, believing the “true American majority” holds similar views proves how delusional the Daily KOS is.

The manufactured “war on women” was supposed to bring votes for Democrats but it backfired, bringing votes for Republicans. Treating the American public as being dumb shows how deaf and blind Democrats have become under an Obama administration used to doing whatever it wants. Perhaps they will now wise up, but with Reid and Pelosi still calling the shots, that is highly unlikely.

Yes – This Election Is About Obama

November 3, 2014

Many Democrat candidates now distancing themselves from Obama are trying to say that this election is not about Obama – but it is. How can it not be?

Democrats have unconditionally backed Obama’s agenda. That includes his executive orders, his failing foreign policies, his poor economy, his refusal to enforce the law or take responsibility for failure, his demonizing of FOX News, and his “transformation of America”. They even blindly backed Michelle’s unrealistic lunch program – the one now being dropped like a hot potato.

Many Democrats were elected to office riding the coat tails of the idealistic Obamacare, blindly echoing Obama’s ruse of keeping our health plans and doctors. Criticism of Obama was unabashedly attributed to racism and a “GOP war on women” was manufactured to scare up women’s votes. Democrats bought into it all and cannot now pretend otherwise.

Democrats were eager for power and wanted to “make history” so Obama’s inexperience and personal desire for social engineering was ignored. The mainstream media, predominantly Democrats, invested their journalistic integrity in Obama – and lost. This election is about them, too.

The Democrat House and the Senate were rubber stamps for Obama and when the House became a Republican majority, the Senate under Harry Reid’s dictate blocked everything sent their way, aided by House minority leader Nancy Pelosi. This election is about Reid and Pelosi, too.

Obama’s rallying cry of “hope and change” has become “I hope they change” from a majority of the American people believing the country is going in the wrong direction. They are right, but they need to come out and vote in order to begin to change that direction.

Yes, this election is about Obama – and the sycophantic Democrat Party. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Myth Busting

October 2, 2014

Many believe progressive left-wingers hate Ann Coulter because she is an outspoken conservative, but the real reason is because she uses facts to disprove religious-like beliefs they blindly follow. Her latest column will once again cause outrage because she shows a few more “beliefs” to be nothing more than myths.

Coulter rips apart a meme based on a study saying “the purchase of a handgun was associated with 2.4 times the risk of being murdered and 6.8 times the risk of suicide”. No, it is not true and neither is the belief that emergency room admissions for domestic violence spike on Super Bowl Sundays, an oft-heard feminist mantra. Coulter shows these to be nothing more than convenient falsehoods used to help advance an agenda.

Another myth currently making the rounds due to the recent White House crasher is that Obama gets more threats than any other president (because he is black). Coulter uses facts to disprove that, too, adding the inconvenient and politically incorrect truth that those “most likely to assassinate a president are leftists, socialists, communists, Palestinian activists, crazed environmentalists and communitarians”.

Those upset with Coulter because of this column will undoubtedly use insults and demeaning names to ridicule her. They will not counter with facts because there are none backing up these “beliefs”. Name-calling is their standard retort.

The progressive left’s agenda is filled with myths: Democrats freed the slaves; there is a war on women; Republicans are racist and have no compassion; liberals are tolerant; the rich hate the poor; man-made global warming is a fact; voter ID means voter suppression; a fetus is not a living being; pro-life is anti-women; all religions are the same; the economy is doing well; Obama has superior intelligence; etc. etc.

It seems much of the left’s progressive agenda is based on what they believe “should be” and reality just gets in the way. Ann Coulter excels at delivering reality – and rubbing their noses in it.

Give ‘em hell, Ann.

Dems “War on Women”

September 11, 2014

The Democrats’ claim of a “GOP war on women” is a smear campaign to get women’s votes; a grab for public funds for abortion and birth control; an attempt to force women into the progressive agenda; an insult to women’s intelligence; and a despicable lie. Sadly, it helped beat Romney, but it is finally losing credibility with the masses.

The White House, attempting to help campaigning Democrats, pushed the “war against women” meme recently with the 77-cents-on-the-dollar gender wage gap talking point. When confronted with the fact that the median income of White House female staffers is 88% that of male staffers, reasons given for the difference actually helped debunk the wage gap claim.

The White House claimed experience, education and hours worked were responsible – the same reasons the Labor Department found responsible for the perceived sex-based wage gap. After taking these factors into consideration, the Labor Department further determined that the actual gap is only 5 to 7 cents on the dollar and other legitimate factors play into that small gap.

Dems also say the battle over “reproductive rights” is part of this “war on women”. Senator Kay Hagan is attacking her Republican challenger, Thom Tillis, as opposing birth control “rights”, but Tillis has joined with other Republican candidates supporting over-the-counter birth control. This would give the “access” to birth control that Dems pretend the GOP doesn’t want for women. It enrages Dems because it will not provide public funds and it will not include free tampons, the latest idea working its way into the “war”.

Hopefully, the biggest downfall for this “war on women” meme will be the growing realization that it insults women’s intelligence. The demeaning and abusive way Republican women are treated by the left clearly displays a lack of respect for any woman unwilling to toe the leftist political line. These attacks often end up as sexist assaults, proving that the only war against women is coming from the left.
