Far-Left is Out-of-Touch

January 26, 2015

The far-left continues to act like it is mainstream but that is just a fantasy, like much of its agenda. They are out-of-touch with the majority, but screaming loudly gets attention in the sycophantic media and that makes them believe their views are popular. Reality, however, tells a different story.

The current film, “American Sniper”, is set to become the biggest war movie of all time and would easily win an Oscar for “best picture” if the public were allowed to vote. However, it is receiving criticism from some on the far-left because it presents an American soldier in a positive light while putting down Islamic terrorists. The fact is that a majority of Americans are patriotic and patriotic movies usually do well at the box office, but this does not jive with a military hating, America bashing vision.

Polls show that global warming is far down the list of public priorities but it is still one of the far-left’s highest. The media made much of NASA’s claim that 2014 set a new record for global warmth but it remains silent about NASA’s climate scientists admitting that they are only 38% sure this is true.

Terrorism has now become the top priority for a majority of Americans but the far-left won’t even admit who the terrorists are. A majority of Americans also believe Islam encourages violence but the far-left remains in denial, focusing on the economy instead. Lower unemployment numbers they tout, however, have been proven to be highly influenced by the ending of unemployment benefit extensions. It seems that those who no longer receive unemployment benefits go out and find a job. Imagine that.

Going further against the far-left’s agenda, polls show a majority of Americans: favor the pipeline; oppose closing GITMO; do not believe we won the Afghan War; oppose government funding of abortion; are against late term abortion: and believe race relations have gotten worse under Obama. Also, a majority of New Yorkers have an unfavorable opinion of Al Sharpton, but that should be a “given” by now.

Don’t you wish the far-left was as out-of-sight as it is out-of-touch?

Forgetting Too Easily

January 5, 2015

As the economy begins to recover slightly, Obama’s approval ratings are also beginning to recover and it indicates how easily the American people forget. For years our poor economy was blamed on everything and everyone but Obama but now that it has stopped sinking, people are willing to give Obama credit for it and a pass on everything else.

Obama’s poor approval ratings were the result of his failure in almost everything, especially foreign affairs where he has lowered esteem for the US across the globe. He has demonstrated poor decision making skills, refused to take responsibility, and displayed a deliberate disregard of majority public opinion. He has refused to work with Republicans, demeaning them continuously, and has ignored his own party in favor of his personal agenda.

Under Obama, the workplace has “transformed” from an environment of full-time employment to part-time with many people having given up looking for a job. Decreased unemployment rolls are being spun as evidence of economic recovery but many unemployed have maxed-out on benefits and no longer count in the statistics. Wages are stagnant, jobs are still scarce, and college graduates are finding very few prospects.

Race relations in the country have worsened as Obama fuels the fire by partnering with Al Sharpton. Taxpayers and businesses are being negatively affected as Obamacare continues to dump its time-released provisions on the country. Our borders remain unsecured as Obama’s personal amnesty policy attracts more and more illegal aliens, burdening our social assistance programs further.

For all these reasons and many more, Obama’s approval ratings dropped considerably. Yet, far too many people are now willing to forget it all because of a “slight” improvement in the economy. How soon they forget and how easily they are fooled.

Stupid Racial Agenda

December 30, 2014

By making race monger Al Sharpton his go-to guy, president Obama has encouraged racial hostilities in the country. His recent claim that race relations are better now than when he took office is just more self-serving rhetoric having no basis in reality. The stupidity of Obama, de Blasio, and other so-called “leaders” aligning with Sharpton has produced a top-down, anti-police atmosphere resulting in two policemen being executed in NY City.

The police in NY City feel abandoned by Mayor de Blasio and now face an increasingly hostile black community. The danger facing policeman in NY City has always been high but de Blasio’s foolish actions have made it worse and the police are responding in ways that will put us all in danger.

Concerned for their personal safety and feeling under attack from the community and the government, police in the city are turning a blind eye to minor crimes. Delayed response times and lack of summonses have resulted from de Blasio’s foolishness and morale is at an all-time low in the police force. One can expect crime to increase in NY City as it becomes obvious to all that police response has eroded.

The execution style killing of the two police officers in NY City has been mimicked in a thwarted attempt in North Carolina and can be expected to occur in other cities across the country. Every police shooting is now being protested as police brutality regardless of the circumstances and it is only a matter of time before other police departments begin to delay response times or not respond at all.

Our only line of defense against runaway crime and chaos in the streets has been compromised by a stupid racial agenda encouraged by Obama. Leadership from the White House on many issues has become non-existent but this goes beyond lack of leadership. This agenda seems to sanction rioting, violence, and racial unrest – and it is dangerous.

Holder Stirs the Racial Pot

August 20, 2014

Attorney General Eric Holder has made it known he believes racism is the reason for criticism of himself and president Obama. He refused to press charges against the Black Panthers for voter intimidation during the 2008 elections despite overwhelming evidence against them. He has plotted with president Obama and Al Sharpton to find ways to combat state voter identification laws, deeming them to be racist. His department’s Community Relations Service helped organize protests in the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, inflaming racial tensions.

Now, Eric Holder, along with his Community Relations Service, is going to Ferguson, Missouri to…well…it’s not really clear why. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are already there making sure this fiasco remains a race issue and the police officer remains guilty regardless of facts. Holder’s presence will only re-enforce that. No one believes he is going there to ensure the accused’s rights are upheld.

Ferguson is another example of top-down attitudes from this administration infecting the nation. Racism has been inflamed and kept in the forefront by president Obama and Eric Holder making it no surprise that the black community becomes inflamed at every opportunity. Obama’s attitudes toward social injustice, economic disparity, and America’s atrocities and “unfairness” have also seeped into society creating divisiveness, class warfare, and anger – all for political purposes and his personal agenda.

The incident in Ferguson has become a purely racial issue and will remain so throughout the trial that Holder, Sharpton, and Jackson are there to ensure will occur. Any facts that may not substantiate a trial or possibly indicate the officer acted properly will be labeled as a racist police cover-up. If such facts are not kept hidden, further rioting will occur until they no longer matter.

This is where we are today and Obama and his administration is at the very least partially responsible. We were once on the path to racial healing. Now we are in a “post-racial era” with wounds being rubbed raw once again. This is called progress.

Here We Go Again

August 12, 2014

Ferguson, Missouri experienced looting and rioting after a young, unarmed black man was shot multiple times and killed by a police officer. It does not look good for the police officer at this time, but an investigation had barely begun when incensed locals (and many from out of town) decided the best way to deal with this was by looting and rioting. They are sure of what happened but if wrong, at least they will get some free stuff.

A free TV, free food, free cash from a busted ATM, or just the fun of burning down a local store and a few parked cars is the going rate of exchange for inner city rage (and sometimes for the celebration of a sports team championship). It doesn’t matter whose store is looted, or whose car is burned. In fact, it is the local community, the same community that is outraged, that will experience destruction.

Some in Ferguson are recognizing the stupidity of wrecking one’s own neighborhood, sending out on Twitter that the rioting needed to be done in white neighborhoods. Blaming all white people for the actions of one individual is not considered racist because racism, along with most looting, is a one-way street in today’s society. Some even believe that a black person cannot be racist but that is ignorantly wrong – and is a racist remark.

When a white policeman is gunned down in cold blood it never results in rioting and looting. In fact, the killing of a policeman is often celebrated in song with protests demanding the killer be set free – which brings us to Al Sharpton, now on his way to Ferguson.

Al Sharpton (appearing wherever there are cameras) was the spark that lit the fire in the Crown Heights riots of 1991 and the Freddy’s Fashion Mart massacre in 1995 – after making a fool of himself in the 1987 Tawana Brawley fiasco (which he still won’t admit was a hoax). Is there any reason to believe Sharpton will be a calming influence and bring civilized behavior back to Ferguson?

Welcome to post-racial America.

Rendell Joins Sharpton in Denial

December 9, 2013

MSNBC’s ‘Politics Nation’, hosted by Al Sharpton, put on a laughable display of denial and spin about the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Careful to no longer call it Obamacare, the label once embraced by president Obama and now shunned, guest Ed Rendell dove into Sharpton’s fantasy world head first.

Rendell pretended that it was a “great week for the ACA” because they now had the kinks out of the rollout. With thousands of people finding they are not insured even after having signed up for an insurance plan, one has to wonder about Rendell’s definition of “kinks”. He also tried to convince us that the ACA is making the Republicans look bad:

“The sad part for Republicans is that it is only going to get worse for them – people are going to find that this bill, the 31 million who never had health care are going to find, that it’s like manna from heaven, and the other people they’re going to find they got better plans and they got their freedom to choose – they can compare and they can shop which we never had the ability to do in America…the Republicans better find another horse to ride because they can’t ride this one.”

On Fox News Sunday over the weekend, Obamacare architect Zeke Emanuel defined that ‘freedom to choose’ thusly: “…if you want to pay more for an insurance company that covers your doctor, you can do that. This is a matter of choice”. One always had the “ability” in America to pay more for what they want and Rendell calling this a gift of “freedom to choose” provided by Obamacare makes no sense.

It is interesting that Rendell caught himself and quickly changed “people” to “the 31 million” uninsured who will find the ACA like “manna from heaven” because they are the only ones who will reap the benefits of large subsidies. The “people”, 90% of the American population, are going to have to pay more and lose their plans and doctors to provide this “manna”.

Al Sharpton said about the ACA that “success seems to be more and more obvious”, but the only thing obvious is his denial. Some say he is not that dense to believe his own rhetoric but that, too, is not so obvious.

Al Sharpton’s Stunning Hypocrisy

July 26, 2013

It doesn’t get any more asinine or hypocritical than this: Al Sharpton, the man whose only occupation has been as a race monger blaming Whitey for everything wrong in the black community, is accusing right-wing pundits of stoking racial fears to boost ratings. You can’t make this stuff up.

Sharpton’s MSNBC show has given him a venue to promote his personal brand of racism, keep racial tensions high, and advertise the many protests he organizes around the country. If there is a camera, you will find Sharpton pompously pontificating on the racial injustice he will find under every bed.

Sharpton is a self-proclaimed, and loudly proclaimed, “leader” of a black community that never voted him in as leader of anything. In fact, Sharpton has never been voted into public office. He was the court jester candidate for the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, recognized by all as having no chance whatsoever, but good for a laugh or two.

The laughter is over and should have ended long ago, back in 1987, when Al was found liable by a jury for making defamatory statements against white men he was sure assaulted and raped 15-yr-old Tawana Brawley. Even after Brawley was found to have fabricated the entire story as a hoax, Al continued to proudly scream racist venom, never apologizing to the men whose name he smeared forever.

For Al Sharpton, there is no such thing as a guilty black man, an innocent white man, or a non-racial event. He sees things only in black and white and has made a good living doing so. Therefore, for him to accuse white pundits of doing ‘exactly’ what his entire life has been centered around is ludicrous, even if there was any truth whatsoever in the accusations – and there isn’t.

That’s Al: Ludicrous, ridiculous, and pompous. He anchors the black community in racial animosity and never advocates personal responsibility. When white pundits do so, they are attacked viciously by Al who learned well a thing or two from Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals.

Sharpton is dangerous and should have been put out to pasture long ago. The black community is not well-served by his buffoonery; nor is civility and journalism.

Obama Feeds the Fire

July 20, 2013

Outrage in the black community after the George Zimmerman trial verdict is being stoked by the media and so-called “leaders” such as Al Sharpton, but that has been the norm for years. What isn’t the norm is for a president to speak out in such a way as to further that outrage rather than calm it.

Obama’s ill-timed remarks from the White House are sure to fuel the fires raging over the Zimmerman trial verdict. Right or wrong, demonstrators will now feel vindicated in their anger and be emboldened to continue demanding…well…whatever it is they are demanding. Many are not quite sure what they are demanding but the president made it clear that they should be angry and he blessed that anger from the White House. It’s just what the country needs: more divisive anger.

This “post-racial” president who we were told would transcend race has done exactly the opposite. The Zimmerman case was not about race until the media, particularly NBC with its doctored 911 tape, made it so. With his initial remarks about Trayvon looking a lot like what his son could have looked like, Obama jumped on the manufactured race bandwagon right from the beginning. Now, he has moved to the driver’s seat of that wagon.

Criticism of the Obama administration for being out of touch and in denial is proving credible once more. Obama’s blindness to the dangerous powder keg this trial has become dovetails with his blindness of Obamacare’s continuing dysfunction. Railing against Stand Your Ground laws which had no part in this trial, Eric Holder, too, displayed blindness to reality and jumped on the media bandwagon.

Following the media’s lead is not leadership. Serious discussions on race relations are needed, but with emotions running so high, a true leader would find a way to calm rather than inflame those emotions before attempting discussions. We desperately need that kind of leadership and, sadly, we are not getting it from Obama.

Stand Whose Ground?

July 18, 2013

The emotional chaos in the aftermath of the George Zimmerman trial is an offshoot of the social chaos the entire country is mired in. Rationality, logic, and good sense have been overrun by emotional judgments springing from personal beliefs and political agendas that care little for the common good.

Having no evidence to substantiate a personal belief in Zimmerman’s guilt, “Stand Your Ground” laws have become the fall guy for disappointment in the verdict even though Zimmerman’s was a self-defense case not revolving around those laws. From Stevie Wonder’s refusal to perform in Florida to Attorney General Eric Holder’s public denouncement of those laws, the misguided bandwagon has been loaded and is now running amok.

Should this race-based attack against “Stand Your Ground” succeed, it will be ironic, and sad, that the black community could suffer the most from the effort. Had opponents dared look at statistics as did Patrick Howley of the Daily Caller, they would have found that “…one third of Florida “Stand Your Ground” claims in fatal cases have been made by black defendants, and they have used the defense successfully 55 percent of the time” and that “African Americans used “Stand Your Ground” defenses at nearly twice the rate of their presence in the Florida population”.

As with many other issues now fracturing society, facts concerning “Stand Your Ground” have no effect on the emotional certainty dictated by an idealistic agenda. Many of the progressive tactics, rules, and policies from the Obama administration will come back to haunt those who approve when they are in the hands of a future Republican administration. That, however, is much too far-thinking for so-called “progressives” who view progress through a racial and emotionally restricted lens.

“Stand Your Ground” has now, pathetically, become a racial issue. Thank you Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Eric Holder, and so many foolish others for ensuring that the promised Obama post-racial era remains as just another burst liberal bubble. It provides, at least, some consistency.
