Brainwashed Voters

May 20, 2015

GOP presidential candidates are being peppered by the media with confrontational questions concerning political positions along with meaningless hypothetical questions about going to war in Iraq. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton, awash in controversy and scandal, refuses to answer questions and dismisses all allegations as “distractions”.

The media is conditioning voters by demonizing Republicans and keeping Hillary untouchable. It is pathetic but, unfortunately, it will probably work. Far too many voters are totally ignorant of candidates and the issues – and brainwashed by the media.

It is now coming to light that Hillary and her lawyers have been lying about her emails and we now know she lied about Benghazi when she blamed a video for that attack. Refusing to answer questions about the “Clinton Cash” scandal has kept her from lying about that, too, but she will eventually have to address it and the lies will come.

She is not answering questions from reporters about these controversies and the media just accepts her silence. The State Department even tried to help her by holding back the release of her emails until January, 2016 which is, conveniently, after the presidential election. A U.S. District Court, however, rejected the idea and is demanding those e-mails be released on a “rolling production” basis. We’ll see if that happens, but don’t hold your breath.

Voters have been brainwashed to believe Hillary is an experienced and highly qualified candidate but she has very few accomplishments. For many voters, just being a woman is qualification enough and Hillary is focused on that. “Making history” is a constant undercurrent in her campaign as she exploits the “war on women” myth, tugging at feminist emotions.

Scandals and lies don’t seem to stand a chance against a biased media or the unconditional love many have for Hillary and her progressive agenda. Obama was kept afloat by it and Hillary seems destined to ride the same wave into the White House. One may hope that will not be the case, but media brainwashing is a tough nut to crack and if the Dems do tire of covering for her, Biden is waiting in the wings – just when you thought it couldn’t get worse.

Hillary Street Blues

April 13, 2015

There was no “news” in Hillary’s announcement to run for president; though the media treated it is as news. It was a foregone conclusion that everyone knew was coming but her announcement may have caused more gloom than jubilance, even for some Democrats.

In the 1993 documentary “War Room”, James Carville sarcastically assessed George Bush as having “the stench of yesterday”. Hillary, one year older and with as much time on the political scene as Bush had at the time, seems to exude that stench along with the stench of scandal. She comes to this presidential race with lots of smelly baggage.

If Hillary was more personable, like Bill, and had accomplishments she could point to, she would probably be a shoe-in. However, she is not and she has accomplished very little, especially while Secretary of State, the job she took to qualify her for president. Instead, she failed with her “reset” with Russia, displayed a lack of critical decision making with Benghazi, and spent too much time distancing herself from Obama by traveling around the world like an uninvited ambassador – accomplishing nothing.

Her latest scandal, the e-mail fiasco, emphasizes her overwhelming propensity for secrecy and her dictatorial management technique. Her lame excuses mirror the excuses she used in White Water, another scandal displaying arrogance and assumed privilege.

Asking voters to once again “make history” by electing a woman president reeks of the false “war on women” meme and it plays to voter’s emotions rather than sensibilities. Her past vicious attacks on the women who accused Bill of sexual misconduct show that she is more than willing to wage her own war on women when it suits her needs.

Considering all this along with Hillary’s adversarial relationship with the media and anti-Hillary tweets going viral after her announcement, her campaign should be a series-ending episode of “Hillary Street Blues” where she fades away forever. The American public, however, is too easily persuaded by the media, so, once again, the media will be the determining factor. Sad, but true.

Questions to Ponder This Week

October 8, 2014

Why is Jesse Jackson going to Texas to talk to the family of the Ebola victim? Is he a doctor? Is Ebola a racial problem? Or is it just because there are cameras?

Why did former CIA director Leon Panetta remain silent on Benghazi when he now admits that he knew from the “very beginning” (as we all did) that Benghazi was a “terrorist attack on our compound”? Was he silenced? Did he fear the administration? Or was he just waiting to reveal it in his book?

Why was Oprah surprised and upset when actress and singer Raven-Symone said she considers herself “American,” not “African-American”? Shouldn’t Oprah applaud such a post-racial idea? Does Oprah fear a color-blind society? Or does she believe that all black women must toe the liberal line?

Why does FBI director James Comey believe Americans fighting with terrorists in Syria are “entitled to come back” unless their passport is revoked? Is he just being politically correct? Does treason no longer exist? Or does he fear offending the left by being too judgmental?

Why does anyone care about Jimmy Carter’s criticism of Obama’s Middle East policies? Is it because Carter was such an expert on Middle East solutions? Or is it because compared to Obama, Carter is starting to look like a competent president?

With over 600 school districts (and counting) across the country dropping out of the school lunch program, why hasn’t it been overhauled or removed? Is it because Michelle Obama is a nutritional expert? Or is it because the liberal agenda requires unconditional support for the Obama’s and cannot admit failure?

Why is the producer of an anti-Obamacare movie being audited by the IRS? Is it just a coincidence? Or is it because the mantra “there is no scandal at the IRS” worked and the IRS is back to business as usual?

Fear of Benghazi

May 22, 2014

The more liberals try to sell the Benghazi fiasco as a non-issue, the more evident it is that they fear it. Efforts to convince all that there is no scandal surrounding Benghazi are becoming desperately frantic and weak.

When asked about lack of Benghazi coverage, CNN president Jeff Zucker retorted that CNN would not be “shamed” into covering something that has no real news value. The real shame is that CNN and other liberal news outlets are only interested in reporting what they want the public to know. Anything negative about the Obama administration or Hillary Clinton is not considered news. Benghazi hurts both.

Barbara “Call me Senator” Boxer is belittling investigations into Benghazi, where four Americans were killed, as nothing more than the GOP’s fear of Hillary’s presidential candidacy. This comes straight from Alinsky’s ‘Rules for Radicals’ where rule number five states: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon”. It is the left’s favorite tactic and it fits well with their elitism.

The Daily Beast’s Eleanor Clift assures us that Ambassador Chris Stevens died of smoke inhalation and was not murdered at Benghazi. This semantic hair splitting is a pathetic attempt to lessen the seriousness of the event. She says she is just taking issue with the glib use of the word “murdered”, but the glib use of “pro-choice” for those approving the killing of a fetus has never been a concern for her.

President Obama knew Benghazi was a terrorist act and, at the very least, allowed a video to be blamed for days afterwards in an attempt to mislead the public. There are smoking-gun e-mails showing this video ruse was deliberate. The president’s credibility was at stake because he claimed that al Qaeda was decimated and on the run. His re-election was endangered by this façade crumbling only weeks before voters went to the polls. Yes, there is scandal here.

To quote Shakespeare: “The lady doth protest too much, methinks“.

Doom is Evident

May 1, 2014

Recent events make it clear that this country is doomed. We are closer to total demise than anyone wants to admit and it may be far too late to reverse course. Our government is no longer functioning in our best interests and Congress is polarized into inaction and powerless to curb a runaway administration.

The conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, obtained e-mails about Benghazi that an impotent Congress repeatedly asked for and never received. These e-mails make it clear that Obama administration officials deliberately attributed the Benghazi terrorist attack (where four Americans were killed) to an internet video so it would not be considered a failure of Obama’s policy. It was a White House cover up for political purposes.

The mainstream press which once forced President Nixon to resign over a much less serious cover up does not see this as an important story. Instead, it is obsessed with an NBA team owner’s racist remark made in a private conversation that was secretly taped. Abuse of power and invasion of privacy, such as the NSA and IRS scandals, are of little concern for the press since Obama took office. In this “post racial” era, race trumps all.

The American public is deliberately being misinformed and kept in the dark. News stories are being cherry-picked by ideologues whose intent is to mold public opinion rather than report news. We can no longer believe what is reported and things we should know are being withheld. The watchdog is dead and our government agencies are taking advantage of it.

Our very language has been distorted to obfuscate the truth. “Pro-choice” defines killing a fetus. “Access” to health care, which always existed, means “free” health care. The “Affordable” Care Act is not very affordable. “Diversity” means conform to minority wishes or be punished. “Fair share” means someone wants what you worked for. “Tolerance” means my way or no way. “Climate change” is man-made global warming. The list is endless.

Our children are indoctrinated (brainwashed?) by an education system long overtaken by those more interested in social engineering than education. They are not prepared to recognize, let alone repair, the problems they will inherit. We seem incapable and/or unwilling to do it; therefore, doom is imminent.

Dizzy From Media Spin

January 14, 2014

“Bridgegate”, as the Christie traffic fiasco is being called, received 17 times more coverage from ABC, NBC, and CBS News in a 24-hour span than the IRS scandal received in 6 months. MSNBC is even going to run a one-hour special to discuss several “theories” about it.

MSNBC’s prescient Mika already provided her theory, stating: “we know Chris Christie and we know he would have known”. She also “knows” what is and isn’t a scandal, saying: “…to bring up Benghazi and the IRS is like flailing for some sort of distraction”. Four dead Americans have become just a distraction.

Bridgegate is a “twofer” for the liberal media. It’s an opportunity to smear a potential presidential candidate threatening Hillary’s chances and it is a substitute for Obama administration scandals that are getting harder and harder to ignore. It even has the additional benefit of keeping continuing negative Obamacare revelations from public awareness.

One of those revelations is that in 2014, 80% of individual costs to health insurance companies between $45,000 and $250,000 will be paid by the government. When insurance is purchased through the government exchanges, private insurance companies are only liable for costs below $45,000. Taxpayers pay the rest. This is not worthy to be a news story.

The continuing takeover by Al Qaida of abandoned Iraq isn’t news, either, except for NBC to tell us that the Iraq War wasn’t worth it. Obama made sure it wasn’t worth it when he failed (deliberately?) to maintain a military presence in Iraq after hastily pulling our troops out. His eagerness to get totally out of Iraq gave new life to defeated Al Qaida forces and they are now back. The media will protect Obama from any blame.

If you don’t like Obama and didn’t vote for him, you are a racist. If you don’t like Hillary and will not vote for her, you are a misogynist. For the media, it’s that simple – and it will be news. The so-called GOP war against women is THE talking point and you will hear it for the next three years as the media prepares to “make history”, again.

You are sure to become dizzy from the spin.

Is the Obama Administration Imploding?

May 13, 2013

The Obama Administration’s incompetence, arrogance, and mistakes are becoming too big to hide. The liberal media’s pretense that all is well is cracking as the public slowly becomes informed rather than misled.

“What difference does it make?” was Hillary’s arrogant attempt to dismiss Senate Foreign Relations Committee concerns on Benghazi and advance an administration cover-up, but her transparent act of being offended has now become offensive to many. Hiding facts surrounding the death of Americans does, indeed, make a difference.

Obama’s re-election was protected by the Benghazi cover-up but Hillary’s presidential bid may now be in jeopardy. Senator Durbin (D-Ill.) can pretend the GOP is conducting a “witch hunt” because of fearing Hillary in 2016, but the real fear is that the entire Democrat Party will face dire consequences – and it should. The rubber-stamping Obama received from Democrats made this all possible.

Revelations of the IRS targeting non-profit groups such as the Tea Party for political purposes are further proof of an administration out of control, but blinders remain. Carl Bernstein declared that he “can’t imagine” President Obama is possibly involved in this IRS infraction, though he had no problem imagining Nixon’s involvement in a minor, bungled break-in, and helping to bring about his resignation because of it.

Much of the public has been kept in the dark and, therefore, also “can’t imagine” the depths of this administration’s errors and political tactics. The facts coming forth now do not rely on one’s imagination and should shock all out of the political stupor that has taken hold, but perhaps that is too optimistic a view.

Hillary for president is being advanced even in the wake of her Benghazi debacle. Joe Klein, on the Chris Matthews show (soon to become the “Hillary-for-President Show”), began the erasure of the 2008 liberal campaign theme that experience doesn’t count by stating that Hillary is “…one of the most experienced candidates we’ve ever had running for president”.

One can hope that Hillary’s “experience” in the Benghazi cover-up will be remembered and will count. Perhaps Obama’s administration will have completely imploded by then – that is, if the media will allow it. There is “Hope” for “Change” in 2016.
