Deaf and Dumb Democrats

December 4, 2016

Democrats are understandably still stunned and upset over Trump’s win but that is no excuse for continuing to be politically deaf and dumb concerning the reasons for losing and the lessons that should be evident.

The re-election of Nancy Pelosi as House minority leader shows a complete denial of the Democrats’ need to change. Pelosi blindly backed the Obama administration, often making a fool of herself with inane explanations and excuses. Her major contribution to her party has been her ability for fund-raising but one of the lessons from this election is that money isn’t everything. Pelosi has the same elitist arrogance that turned people away from Hillary and it will now continue to be a bane for Democrats.

Trump’s election showed that identity politics is no longer an acceptable way to govern because it disenfranchised and demeaned a large portion of the population. Far too many Democrats are unwilling to accept that the tail can no longer wag the dog. Recounting votes and looking for ways to derail Trump before he takes office is not productive.

In full denial, President Obama blamed Trump’s win on FOX News foolishly stating that it is “in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country”, places he has obviously not visited in quite some time. Others are blaming the media (which was totally in the tank for Hillary), Jill Stein, James Comey, white supremacy, Facebook, Twitter, misogyny, racism, conspiracies, voter suppression, the Electoral College – anything other than identity politics, a runaway progressive agenda, or obsession with social issues.

Democrats rail against any mention of a “mandate” because Hillary had more popular votes but they are ignoring the many other GOP victories in this and the past mid-term elections. They refuse to acknowledge clear indications that the tide has turned and if they remain deaf and dumb, they will become less and less relevant. The country needs both parties. Democrats need to wake up.

Pelosi’s Pathetic Posturing

March 4, 2015

It is both moronic and hypocritical that many partisan Democrats complained of the “political theater” of Netanyahu’s speech to Congress after witnessing the despicable act Nancy Pelosi deliberately staged for the entire world to see. It is also sad that Washington has become such a putrid, political swamp.

One has never had to guess what stance Pelosi will take on any issue. She is a far-left liberal and a blind, partisan, Obama supporter and, therefore, very predictable. Why, then, did she feel it necessary to express her, and Obama’s, distaste of Netanyahu by turning her back in such a crude, despicable manner?

It is simply because she, like Obama, is an elite filled with a sense of “superior intelligence” and feels it necessary to denigrate anyone with a different opinion before it is seen to be more reasonable and acceptable than her own. In other words, it is fear of being challenged and found inferior. Pelosi made a career out of demeaning critics, sneering at criticism and, especially, making foolish statements. This was just icing on her ignorant cake.

It was not enough that Obama snubbed Netanyahu and practically threw Israel under the bus in his political eagerness for a deal, any deal, with Iran. Lap dog Pelosi felt it necessary to make it clear to all how low this administration’s regard really is for such a solid, longtime ally. She performed with gleeful pride, totally ignorant of her own ignorance.

It is hard to brush off Pelosi’s buffoon-like behavior as many do with vice president Joe Biden’s court jester antics because Pelosi comes with malice. She knows precisely what she is doing even though she makes it seem like it is off-the-cuff. It is not. It is off-her-rocker behavior, but it is deliberate. It is also very pathetic.

Choosing Politics Over Reality

March 3, 2015

Obama is absolutely desperate for a deal with Iran because his foreign policies have been disastrous and, politically, he needs something positive. His current “deal” with Iran is a politically expedient ruse to pass off as a foreign policy achievement, but it will not stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

The Obama deal supposedly deters Iran’s nuclear program for ten years, but Iran will have a nuclear weapon long before then because Iran doesn’t keep agreements – and everyone knows it. Iran has also, unequivocally, stated its reason for having a nuclear weapon: to eradicate Israel. Obama and many sycophantic Democrats remain willfully blind to this fact.

This is why Netanyahu is highly concerned and spoke directly to Congress. Ignored and insulted by Obama, he addressed Congress in the hope that they are not as mired in political nonsense as Obama is. Unfortunately, many are and reality will, once again, take a back seat to pure politics.

Nancy Pelosi was “near tears”, walking out offended that Netanyahu wasn’t toeing the Obama line. Reiterating Obama’s rhetoric that “all options are on the table for preventing a nuclear-armed Iran”, Pelosi arrogantly took listening off the table. She was “saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge” as if Netanyahu, who deals with Middle East violence daily, knows nothing of Iran. Pelosi, of course, displayed no embarrassment at her elite condescension while she venomously insulted Netanyahu.

Netanyahu knows more about foreign affairs, international negotiations, and hatred of Jews than Obama can ever imagine. He speaks with authority and deals with reality. Obama speaks with egotistical self-righteousness and deals with fantasy. Obama and his unconditional followers need to ridicule and silence Netanyahu to keep their self-esteem and their “dream” alive. Nothing else matters.

The world will now learn what a nuclear-armed Iran will do or what an Israel fighting for its survival will do. In either case, the Middle East will explode as another Obama “transformation” comes to fruition. It will join with many other failures to define his legacy.

Deaf, Dumb, and Blind

November 7, 2014

Deaf, dumb, and blind ideologues have not been swayed in the least by election results and are out spinning like spiders on steroids. President Obama, who told us his policies were on the ballot, totally ignored that in his voter-defying speech, thus, beginning the current spin cycle.

Nancy Pelosi, the epitome of deaf, dumb and blind, wants to remain as minority leader in the House and is trying to convince everyone that election results had nothing to do with her at all. Her spin is that the results were due to poor voter participation, even insinuating that voting obstacles (voter ID?) were the main culprit.

Pelosi’s blind adherence to Obama’s agenda puts her very near the top of a list of reasons for Democrats’ demise. She has been deaf to the public’s wishes for quite some time and the mentioning of a “non-partisan challenge” in her letter to Democrats is surreal coming from her. It would be wise to put her out to pasture but Democrats may be on enough of a self-destructive path to keep her.

Even after acknowledging that Harry Reid was one of the reasons for election losses, most Democrats remaining in the Senate (speaking of self-destruction) want him as minority leader. Reid, who personally blocked everything coming from the House, now says he looks forward to working together with Mitch McConnell, but not working together is a main reason for Democrats losing the Senate.

The always irrational Daily KOS is worriedwe won’t be able to flex our muscles as the true American majority” for the next two years and inferred that the election losses came because the president “s**ts on immigrants”. One is hard-pressed to see how a totally open border, suspending immigration laws, and promising amnesty for illegals could be seen that way. Then, again, believing the “true American majority” holds similar views proves how delusional the Daily KOS is.

The manufactured “war on women” was supposed to bring votes for Democrats but it backfired, bringing votes for Republicans. Treating the American public as being dumb shows how deaf and blind Democrats have become under an Obama administration used to doing whatever it wants. Perhaps they will now wise up, but with Reid and Pelosi still calling the shots, that is highly unlikely.

Yes – This Election Is About Obama

November 3, 2014

Many Democrat candidates now distancing themselves from Obama are trying to say that this election is not about Obama – but it is. How can it not be?

Democrats have unconditionally backed Obama’s agenda. That includes his executive orders, his failing foreign policies, his poor economy, his refusal to enforce the law or take responsibility for failure, his demonizing of FOX News, and his “transformation of America”. They even blindly backed Michelle’s unrealistic lunch program – the one now being dropped like a hot potato.

Many Democrats were elected to office riding the coat tails of the idealistic Obamacare, blindly echoing Obama’s ruse of keeping our health plans and doctors. Criticism of Obama was unabashedly attributed to racism and a “GOP war on women” was manufactured to scare up women’s votes. Democrats bought into it all and cannot now pretend otherwise.

Democrats were eager for power and wanted to “make history” so Obama’s inexperience and personal desire for social engineering was ignored. The mainstream media, predominantly Democrats, invested their journalistic integrity in Obama – and lost. This election is about them, too.

The Democrat House and the Senate were rubber stamps for Obama and when the House became a Republican majority, the Senate under Harry Reid’s dictate blocked everything sent their way, aided by House minority leader Nancy Pelosi. This election is about Reid and Pelosi, too.

Obama’s rallying cry of “hope and change” has become “I hope they change” from a majority of the American people believing the country is going in the wrong direction. They are right, but they need to come out and vote in order to begin to change that direction.

Yes, this election is about Obama – and the sycophantic Democrat Party. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Strouse Toes the Line

October 29, 2014

Kevin Strouse, the challenger to incumbent Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania’s 8th District, spews Democrat Party talking points as well as a grade school student reciting a poem from memory. Not one word sounds like his and not one idea strays from the party line.

What else can be expected from a “carpetbagger” sent by Nancy Pelosi to make a run at Fitzpatrick? Moving to Bucks County from Washington for the sole purpose of challenging Fitzpatrick, Strouse can’t distance himself from the disastrous Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda like many other Democrat candidates. He must toe the Pelosi line.

Pelosi’s choice of Strouse to do her bidding is a transparent, and poor, strategy. John Kerry’s Vietnam veteran status was highly touted in his run for president to appeal to the public’s respect for the military. It failed miserably because the left’s distaste for the military and Kerry’s bashing of the military after coming back from Vietnam could not be hidden.

Strouse, too, is a veteran as was Patrick Murphy before him, and it is getting stale for the Dems to keep using military service as a qualifier for their candidates. It doesn’t work. Also, Strouse’s CIA experience may have been beneficial years ago but today there is too much distrust in government agencies, especially Obama administration intelligence agencies, for it to be any help.

If you want to know what Strouse is running on, listen to a Pelosi/Reid/Obama speech and get it straight from the horse’s mouth. It is definitely time for a change, but not in the 8th District where Fitzpatrick has shown the leadership, experience, and competency sadly lacking at the top. Change needs to come where the Obama rubber stamp rules the day. Vote wisely.

NY Times Upset Over Democrat Panic

October 22, 2014

A recent NY Times editorial expressed dismay over the “panicky Democratic flight away from President Obama”, complaining that “nervous members of his own party have done a poor job of defending his policies over the nearly six years of his presidency” which allowed “a Republican narrative of failure to take hold”. That’s a lot of blind rationalization to swallow.

It is certainly not credible that a Republican “narrative” beat the media’s (especially the Times’) constant and unconditional positive spin on Obama. Who can really believe that Democrats (Pelosi, Reid, Chris Matthews, Barbara Boxer, etc.) didn’t defend his policies? That’s pretty much all they did while refusing to entertain or acknowledge any criticism. Only the Democrat panic part rings true.

The Times’ editorial board reached backward for successes but failed to see the failure those so-called “successes” have become. Pointing to the 2009 stimulus bill as a reason for economic recovery ignores the fact that our economy is still doing poorly and has not recovered. Boasting the creation of “2.5 million jobs” ignores that 75% of jobs created this year are part-time and that 9.5 million people have left the workforce under Obama’s poor economy.

Pointing to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) as another “success” is laughable considering that it is a main factor responsible for all those part-time jobs and the exodus from the workforce. Rate increases, reduced coverage, policy cancelations, and uncertainty plague the nation (with more to come) in order to provide health insurance for approximately 10% of the population – and only 10% of those have actually obtained insurance so far. That’s one sad “success” story.

The NY Times’ editorial board makes no mention of foreign policy, Obama’s most glaring failure, or the continuing indecision he displays. Instead, they travel back to the good old days when blind faith in Obama ruled the day, all Democrats were in lock-step, and Obama’s word was sacred. Times have changed, but it seems that the Times hasn’t.

It’s time to vote for another “change”.

Pelosi’s Doomed Civilization

September 15, 2014

Vice President Biden’s gaffes are well known and many, often including Biden himself, just laugh and take what he says with a grain of salt. Nancy Pelosi, however, always wants to be taken seriously even when she out-gaffes Biden. The American Thinker takes her to task for her latest Pelosi-ism.

From the American Thinker:

Dressed like an elderly, upscale biker chick in a leather jacket that she accessorized with $10,000 Tahitian pearls, Nancy Pelosi recently…made an incoherent appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher.” After sharing the apocalyptic prophesy with atheist Maher that if Republicans retake the Senate “civilization is doomed,” the woman whose political party is currently in the process of dooming civilization uttered the following load of rubbish: “Fear is a motivator, and we…” – as in Democrats – “are not fear mongers.”

It’s funny to hear Nancy Pelosi project onto Republicans the very thing she is, which is a fear peddler…This is the woman who…sounded an alarm to warn Americans that “Every week we don’t pass a Stimulus package, 500 million Americans lose their jobs…said that if the Republican’s “Protect Life Act” prevented Obamacare abortion funding, pregnant ‘women [would] die on the floor?’…warned America that if the House passed a bill that extended a federal pay freeze, it would “undermine the dignity” of a job…warned Americans that they should “be afraid” of the Supreme Court…

How Foot-in-Mouth Pelosi can say that Democrats are not “fear mongers” in the same breath as saying that “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if the Republicans win the Senate” does illustrate a level of cluelessness on Nancy’s part that is quite impressive.

Gambling on a Dream

July 4, 2013

Every time a new “benefit” of Obamacare kicks in, we are sorely reminded of Pelosi’s infamous remark: “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it”. Had Pelosi, Obama, and all the Obamacare cheerleaders read it beforehand, they would have been more prepared to defend the negative impacts that continue to pour out of this poorly written and hastily passed dream bill. As it stands now, they look foolish trying to defend an indefensible dream.

All President Obama wanted was to pass the bill and fulfill his personal political agenda. Consequently, he is now in constant defense mode, seemingly surprised by what falls out of the bill. He has been handing out exemptions to companies unable to handle the economic impact and his administration is totally unprepared to implement many of the bill’s provisions.

Now, Obama has decided to delay the bill’s employer mandate until after the mid-term elections, to 2015, in order to relieve campaigning Democrats of the burden that provision brings. It is a blatant political maneuver and an admission of the bill’s failure from the man still engaged in “selling” the bill, using taxpayer money, to the American people.

Obamacare has been voted on and is now the law. It is pathetic that this administration is still engaged in “selling” a law to the people, and it is even more pathetic that this administration has the audacity to delay, change, or ignore parts of this “law” as it wishes to fit its political agenda.

The fiasco this “law” has become is obvious and the damage it will cause is just beginning. Unfortunately, we, the people, deserve it. Obama was elected, twice, by people wanting to make history rather than make sense. That history will reveal to our children how we foolishly gambled their future on a dream – and lost.

Leftist Denial Intensifying

March 11, 2013

It seems that the public’s continued lowering opinion of the media, Congress, and the president has had an effect on leftist denial, but it has been to increase it rather than decrease it. The hardcore left is doubling down instead of backing off.

Unconditional, and irrational, adoration of Obama broke new ground with Sports Illustrated naming president Obama as one of the 50 most powerful people in sports. Sounding like a Saturday Night Live skit (or a North Korean news story about their leader), SI considers Obama’s off-handed and un-presidential remarks about various sports as powerful influences.

Nancy Pelosi continues to make senseless statements intended to elicit unconditional acceptance of the administration’s agenda. She redefined tax cuts as spending, adding that we should cut spending by ending tax cuts. Furthering her distance from reality, she also said that Obama has been very bipartisan.

California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, arguing for gun control, asserted that “…it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines”. Perhaps in Feinstein’s personal Bizarro world this may be true, but it makes her sound battier than Pelosi – a difficult thing to do.

Refusing to bow to the pressure of reality, the Associate Press continues spin for Obama by lauding a recent drop of .2% in the unemployment rate, adding: The American job market isn’t just growing. It’s accelerating”. Chris Matthews certainly agreed, wondering when Obama would get “credit for this amazing economy that’s coming back”. For those who have given up looking for a job or forced to settle for a part-time job, this job market is far from having an amazing acceleration.

With reports of global temperatures remaining stable for the past decade, one would think Al “global warming” Gore would take his fortune along with his panic and just go away. Instead, he continues to present himself as a science expert with a new book, “The Future”, expecting his credibility to be intact. It isn’t, but many caught up in political inertia still buy his act.

Perhaps it is true that a good offense is the best defense, but leftist denial propaganda is stale, overexposed, and seemly. It is time to give up that ghost.
