Deaf, Dumb, and Blind

November 7, 2014

Deaf, dumb, and blind ideologues have not been swayed in the least by election results and are out spinning like spiders on steroids. President Obama, who told us his policies were on the ballot, totally ignored that in his voter-defying speech, thus, beginning the current spin cycle.

Nancy Pelosi, the epitome of deaf, dumb and blind, wants to remain as minority leader in the House and is trying to convince everyone that election results had nothing to do with her at all. Her spin is that the results were due to poor voter participation, even insinuating that voting obstacles (voter ID?) were the main culprit.

Pelosi’s blind adherence to Obama’s agenda puts her very near the top of a list of reasons for Democrats’ demise. She has been deaf to the public’s wishes for quite some time and the mentioning of a “non-partisan challenge” in her letter to Democrats is surreal coming from her. It would be wise to put her out to pasture but Democrats may be on enough of a self-destructive path to keep her.

Even after acknowledging that Harry Reid was one of the reasons for election losses, most Democrats remaining in the Senate (speaking of self-destruction) want him as minority leader. Reid, who personally blocked everything coming from the House, now says he looks forward to working together with Mitch McConnell, but not working together is a main reason for Democrats losing the Senate.

The always irrational Daily KOS is worriedwe won’t be able to flex our muscles as the true American majority” for the next two years and inferred that the election losses came because the president “s**ts on immigrants”. One is hard-pressed to see how a totally open border, suspending immigration laws, and promising amnesty for illegals could be seen that way. Then, again, believing the “true American majority” holds similar views proves how delusional the Daily KOS is.

The manufactured “war on women” was supposed to bring votes for Democrats but it backfired, bringing votes for Republicans. Treating the American public as being dumb shows how deaf and blind Democrats have become under an Obama administration used to doing whatever it wants. Perhaps they will now wise up, but with Reid and Pelosi still calling the shots, that is highly unlikely.

See No Evil

August 25, 2014

ISIS is a large, well-financed, blood-thirsty army storming unimpeded through Iraq murdering all who do not agree to their repressive demands. They have ravaged Syria, beheaded an American (with two more US captives being threatened), demanded (and received) ransoms from European countries, are in the process of taking over Iraq, and have informed us that they are intent on coming to the U.S. to kill as many as possible, having our open southern border available for easy entry.

Here’s what the Daily Kos, which sees no evil, thinks of ISIS: “You know how much threat ISIS represents to the United States? None…ISIS is a ragtag organization on the far side of the world…ISIS could no more threaten the United States than Lindsey Graham could punch God in the nose…You know what ISIS is? A bunch of politicians…They are not a threat…”

Michael J. Boyle of the NY Times tells us the beheading of American journalist James Foley has “led to a disturbing return of the moralistic language once used to describe Al Qaeda in the panicked days after the 9/11 attacks.” Boyle worries that condemning ISIS as evil “conveys a moral clarity and separates ourselves and our tactics from the enemy and theirs”. Boyle should be thankful we have the moral clarity to separate ourselves from the tactics of ISIS. Moral clarity helped make this country great.

The attack on 9/11 by a small band of terrorists was certainly evil and it wreaked havoc on our entire economy and changed our way of life. The NY Times refuses to accept it as evil and The Daily Kos would have us believe that a much larger, better financed, and highly motivated terrorist army such as ISIS poses no threat. Far-left heads are buried in moral equivalent sand.

Perhaps an even larger threat to our country comes from those believing in the idealistic and foolish notion of moral equivalency. Allowing it to become government policy is as dangerous as it gets and proudly proclaiming it is just stupid.
